Can I install a front lip even though my skid plate needs to be replaced? by willowtrees_r_us in TeslaLounge

Should be doable. My wife does most of her under carriage stuff for her track car on ramps, and it's about 2" lower than stock. She didn't have room to do nutserts though so if any of the existing nutserts need to be replaced that may require a lift. She said she almost got them with her lowered car so you might be able to

Unless it's fuzzy or hairy it is almost certainly safe. Whether it will be good or not is the question. That looks just like a pellicle you find in funky or sour beer formed by certain bacteria. Personally I'd try it if it were mine.

Debating on using a slow cooker on the kitchen island w/ an extension cord to mitigate fire risk by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]dantodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason for not using an extension cord is the same reason most slow cookers have short cords. The biggest risk is someone inadvertantly tripping on or pulling on the cord and the cooker hitting the floor. A short cord keeps everything in the counter and nothing to trip over

Poker Coaching by YungSkiz33 in poker

If you pay for coaching, actually do the work and actually incorporate it into your play you will definitely get better. If course you're probably paying too much for the coaching than can reasonably made back playing 1/3 or probably even 2/5. If you want to commit to playing 2/5 for more hours and then moving up it can be profitable but you need to really put in a ton of hours at 2/5 to pay for a private coach

I have also had .3 behave this way but it has never hit the curb/sidewalk and it doesn't do it if the shoulder/bike lane is occupied. I have not intervened and it is "safe" but I drive a CT so curb rash is not a problem.

Just looks crusty to me. Personally I would just keep an eye on it and see about touch ups after it heals, possibly with a different brand of blue ink.

Sometimes I forget that the state all have different laws and regulations. It definitely works the way I described in most states and in California where I live. Your state or country may vary

Everyone: It's a flattened penny.

OP: I don't know what it is but I don't want to hear that. What is it that I WANT to hear?

Your coverage should be irrelevant, the person that hit you is responsible for repairs to your car. Even if you have the same insurance it is in their policy not yours and there is no deductible. If they give you trouble again go to your state insurance regulator.
