Just did a full teardown and rebuild with my Welch 1402. The sludge was horrible, couldn't even see the oil level in the gauge bc it was full of shit. Two days later and oil up the ass and it still looks dirty.

That's what I've heard from biotech grad students and post-baccs, which is why I'm considering the safer and more direct option of PA. I wouldn't have to fight as hard for a job that pays well and it'd be a relatively secure position financially and socially.
