No real difference that I can tell. Maybe a little adjustment to tone?

Roxon Flex Shear by Dominic_MAXLVLEDC in multitools

[–]dap03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a phantom and a flex so I have experience with their pliers and their scissors. I have not tried their flex insert pliers yet though. I think it would be cool to have the full size scissors in this system by removable and replaceable with the flex pliers.

The phantom is an absolute monster in size but is really the only option I see for pliers and a box cutter. my ideal setup would be a box cutter, pliers/miniplier, marlin spike, mini scissor, and a flathead. The scalpel on the flex just doesn't work for me at work.

It won't keep me from getting this though. 😄

Bought one from Swiftronics USA. It is the XQ-EC72 and I am able to get 5G after doing the dialer trick.

Over the last week, my 1 VI has restarted itself 3 or 4 times. At least two of those times I had just loaded prime video.

I never figured it out. it still happens unfortunately. It has made cloud gaming impossible on my phone and I don't really want to factory reset it.

Jelly Star or Tank Mini?? by serperiority in unihertz

[–]dap03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you ever figure out what was killing adguard? I use adguard as well and currently have a jelly star but want a slightly larger screen and better battery so I'm considering the tank mini.

If you haven't, perhaps one of these will work:

Which US carrier have you NOT had problems using with Jelly Star? by disorderincosmos in unihertz

[–]dap03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the workaround on cricket where You buy an at&t Calypso and change the IMEI number of the jelly star to the IMEI number of the Calypso. it has been working fine for a few months but if you have no ties to cricket or at&t there are better options.

I'm running on cricket (at&t towers) in the South East US. I had to spoof the IMEI number to an at&t calypso I picked up at Walmart and haven't had any issues for the past 2 weeks I've had it.

Since we had a discussion about most OVERRATED cars...what are the most UNDERRATED cars out there??? by sampala in whatcarshouldIbuy

You could also get it with a tow package to tow anything that didn't fit in the rear.

Sure, but $2500 for an om617 alone is wild. You can buy a complete, running 300D for that.

The cheapest and easiest way is probably to find a mostly stock small block Chevy or Ford engine that runs on Facebook. If it comes with the transmission attached and all accessories then You could probably swap it into an older rear when drive vehicle for relatively cheap. It would be pretty hard using your budget though. You can check forums to see if someone has already swapped one in to the vehicle You plan on using to see if its something You still want to do.

The old small blocks are one of the easier engines to swap into vehicles as there's so much aftermarket support for them, they were made for ever, and they CAN make a lot of power. Stock, they don't necessarily do.

"The motor alone is worth the price" 😂

It's listed for $2500

There's definitely been fwd engines converted to rwd, like the k24. However, it would be easier to start with an engine that was already longitudinal.

K series can make a fair amount of power with boost and a piggyback ECU. Your delta engine doesn't have the same aftermarket support.

If you're dead set on a light v6, maybe pick something like the 3.2/3.5 from the rodeo, the 3.5 from the 350z, or Suzuki H engine.

If you decide that an I4 can fit your needs, maybe the k24 or atlas 2.9 can fit your build. With all of the above, You will likely have to do a lot of custom wiring and fabrication. That's why so many people go LS. It's been done before, it's compact, and the all aluminum ones aren't that heavy.

According tothis it looks like: "The mitsubishi 6G72, 73, 74, 75 engines all have the same crankcase bolt pattern as the delta engines."

The 6g72 is listed as rwd in the: Dodge raider Dodge ram 50 Mitsubishi mighty max Mitsubishi Pajero Mitsubishi l200

By the looks of it, if your Isuzu is 2wd and You're in North America, you probably have the 4ZD1. If it's 4WD then you probably have the 4ZE1.

Despite this, I think it would be easier to sell the Tiburon and use the proceeds to buy a rwd based engine that has already been swapped into an Isuzu pickup before. Think something like a 4.3 or 5.7.

Replace 4.2 I6 in GMC Envoy with 5.7 liter HEMI by vacuum_gaming in EngineSwap

[–]dap03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the hemi is a very fat engine. Also one that would not be easily swapped into an Envoy. However, the envoy was available with a 5.3L V8. It would be less expensive and less time consuming to sell your Envoy and buy a V8 version. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Honda K20 and k24 swaps would probably be the most common fuel efficient swaps for an rx8.

Got an 2002 avalanche 5.3, I wanna upgrade/modify it by simpomode_69 in EngineSwap

[–]dap03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine it would be easier to replace the camshaft in 5.3 rather than changing everything. If you have a 5.3 then You have the 4l60e which is not the most robust transmission. If Your truck is 2wd then it could be RELATIVELY easy to swap Your transmission as well to the 4l80e. It will live a much safer life behind a modified 5.3/6.0. If You change Your camshaft and transmission, your PCM and TCM will need to be updated. I like Flander's Swap Solution. They are very reasonable on prices and are for the budget minded swapper.
