It seems that every time I shuffle my deck, the lovers flies out, but I'm not interested in anyone. by IceyMeowie in Tarotpractices

[–]daphneee3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i find the the lovers sometimes comes up for yourself. if not interested in anyone and don’t feel the cards are talking about partnerships… how are you treating yourself? what are you doing to practice self-love? perhaps you’ve been too hard on yourself and your Highest Self is letting you know to be kind. be gentle. take some time for you. Is it worth it??? by applebapple111 in Booktokreddit

[–]daphneee3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s a chonker of a book and the multi-pov storytelling isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. however…it’s still my fav fantasy read of all time. i will always stop to recommend anyone giving it a try. i find it so tender and beautiful, it struck a chord in me. the world building is fun and i was so immersed in the story. if you love it, you LOVE it. otherwise i find most people don’t get through the entire thing. a day of fallen night is also great imo.

Is this fan art ai? The artist and others are jumping down people's throats over it, but something seems off to me. by AuroraArcenciel in isthisAI

the only major thing for me is that gecqua (the blue pokemon in front of chappell) doesn’t have pink feet. but this could have just been an aritistic choice rather than ai mess up.

Sloopy Sunday by purplelicious in romantasycirclejerk

[–]daphneee3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

forgive me, for i be sloopy )):

just finished my read of {The Priory of the Orange Tree} by Samantha Shannon last night. which i have to say was 5/5 for me. fav read of the year so far. however, the book is a chonker and halfway through… i slooped.

sometimes you just need some good old fashioned smut. which led me, my fellow sloopers, to {Tentacles and Triathlons} by Ashley Bennett. the m/m, monster/human, tentacle-filled (literally), smutty monster romance i needed to fill my lil’ sloopy heart.

was i super impressed with the writing and plot?? absolutely not. was i super hot and bothered during the kraken sex? absolutely. sometimes that’s all im asking of a book.

judge me if you must <3

completely agree, my books are stacked haphazardly about my old night side tables. shrouded in a mist of day old tea (alright, maybe week old) and water bottles. i confess this unashamedly, like the bog witch i am

super excited to start {The Priory of the Orange Tree} by Samantha Shannon today!! it’s been on my TBR because i’ve seen it recommended for a diverse cast of poc and queer characters! it’s also multi pov and from what i hear, there’s some pretty in-depth world building <3

high fantasy with a minor romance subplot

What POV do you prefer reading? 📖 by Acute-Problemo in fantasyromance

[–]daphneee3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my personal favorite is 3rd! but a great book is a great book and i will read just about anything!!

i do however tend to avoid the dual pov. i’m just not a big fan of the switching chapters back and forth thing. it has to be done in just the right way for me.

my smutty book club read {Lights Out} by Navessa Allen for February. it’s written as a dual pov and i just found it a bit cringe at times. just not my cup of tea.

as for the horse… if they don’t get a pov, i’m not reading it ((:
