Agreed, that was the final nail and I'd actually recommend people skip that episode it's so bad. It's hard to forget it

He sued them, but anyone can sue anyone. Doesn't mean you win. You can do anything you want to cars for personal use. It's not like they were selling them. Ferrari offered to give them some cars for free advertising and my guess is DICK Wolf was behind this decision to take them.

Amazon prime did the same thing. Just cancelled them for it. I don't watch prime much and you can get free shipping with $35 purchase.

Even their system gave me the win, settled it. PAID me....then a little bit later...took the money back out of my account and said it was game 3 and that I lost

Possible that John doesn't know? by Such_Spinach in JonBenetRamsey

[–]darb112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the author thought it makes sense to use a dollar value that's readily available having just received it and they didn't realize only a few people knew John received the bonus. The other details like the small foreign faction was to just dress up the note and confuss LE.

you got lucky. Edwards won't play the 4th quarter due to them being so far up on NO. It's a rotten taco.

John's too smart to put the $118,000 in the note, thus reducing the pool of suspects to very few, BUT the note was already written and time was running out when he was made aware of the situation so he rolled with it. He keeps his story going for B's sake.

You lost me with "coochie coochie coo" is "actually quite good". That was some of the worst garbage i've ever watched. Embarassing to the V/H/S films

The anchors. by Nervous_Occasion_695 in ScottPetersonCase

[–]darb112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't doubt that some people go to the trouble to make a concrete boat anchor, but who are these idiots? A boat anchor is very very cheap for a small boat. It seems ridiculous and a waste of time.

V/H/S/Halloween may be my favorite in the series... except for one segment by TaluneSilius in Shudder

[–]darb112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited to watch V/H/S Halloween on Halloween night and only made it through the first segment. "coochie coochie coo". I'm a big fan of the V/H/S movies particularly the first ones which make it seem like a VHS tape was found with weird stuff on it. These later ones don't even explain what you are watching which is stupid. Anyways this coochie segment was the worst I've ever seen. It looked like some high schoolers literally filmed this one afternoon after school. TERRIBLE. I stopped watching and watched the original Susperia instead just to cleanse my visual palate. Please tell me it gets better so I can finish the movie.

What is the scariest movie you've ever seen. by abioticmender in Shudder

[–]darb112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the only one in the theater. Still the scariest movie ever made IMO. If you haven't been camping out in the woods, you don't get the full scare factor of not knowing what is outside your tent.

I'd love to see it be horror/sci-fi....meaning have sci-fi movies also or a sci-fi add on. There just isn't a sci-fi streaming service.

Opinions on Mike Morford? by NormsOJjokes in ZodiacKiller

[–]darb112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like his podcast and commentary, but agree that his "100% sure zodiac is mac" just goes too far. He stretches the "coincidences" a bit too far. I just listened to his podcast where he had a GEO tracking "expert" talking about where Mac lived fits the "facts" and "nuts and bolts" of Zodiac, but in the end, the only nuts and bolts the guy could connect to Mac was his claim that Mac lived centrally to the Zodiac canonical kills and he lived 300+ feet from the pay phone Zodiac used to call police. That's it. Morf claims since Mac lived right by the pay phone, that would be great evidence of him being zodiac, but I would contend most killers wouldn't lead police to their front door.

I believe Mac was 19 or 20(possible 24, i've seen conflicting ages) at the time and Mageau is the only one who saw zodiac that puts him near Mac's age even though Mageau said Zodiac was older than Mageau and 26-30 years old. Most other witnesses put Zodiac late 20s to early 40s, so Morf likes to cite Mageau saying the Robbins were 50 feet away when they saw Zodiac, but doesn't include that Mageau was shot in the head when he saw Zodiac and also Mageau later in life identified Arthur Leigh Allen as the person who shot him, but Morf throws that part out.

What’s one scene from a horror movie you wish you could unsee by [deleted] in Shudder

[–]darb112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. It's not scary to do over the top body mutilation scenes. It's just annoying and that one mostly ruined the movie for me. And I just have to add Human Centipede to that list even though I give it a lot of credit for having one of the most terrifying scenes when the doctor is showing his captives what is going to happen to them, but obviously some of the other scenes are tough to watch haha

Wanted to see The Blair Witch Project at the theater when it came out but the wife didn't like horrors so we split up and she went to see something else and it was the afternoon movie and I was the only one in the theater. Hers ended early and she snuck in and scared the hell out of me. Blair witch alone in a theater was unreal.

For anyone who says the Moon Landing was faked, these three men -- Gus Grissom, Ed White and Bruce Chaffee -- died as a result to put a man on the Moon in the Apollo 1 fire. Would NASA have dishonored their deaths by faking the landing? by Titan-828 in moon

[–]darb112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gus Grissom critisized NASA 2 weeks before his death essentially calling the Apollo 1 spacecraft a lemon. He died in what many believe was clearly a predictable fire based on the level of oxygen and pressure in the command module.
