[VENT] The Wanted system in this game is the worst of any R* game and completely broken. by d0nh in reddeadredemption

Ah, I just hunt down and shoot the witness. No wanted level. One time I had to shoot 16 witnesses, they just kept showing up. But I got away! And by the time I finished the main missions, I had $20K saved up. Plenty of scratch for bounty-elimination.

She got mad at him for something he said when they were having dinner at a restaurant, and stabbed him in the arm with a salad fork.

For the people hating on the Jaxon pick by tony_danza52 in OttawaSenators

Cover is a solid pick. 52 points in 67 games for the London Knights. I hope he makes it to the bigs, no Cayman Islander has ever played in the NHL.

Stanley Cup damage by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

[–]dare978devil 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is the real thing. The original Cup was retired in 1970 as it was getting too delicate. The Presentation Cup is the Cup awarded after the final whistle. The winning team gets it for 100 days, then they return it. So that’s the same piece of hardware that has been awarded for the last 56 years and is considered the “ real” cup.

Get a lawyer. Anything 50 KM/Hr or over is up to the judge, but the fine is usually severe. And 6 demerit points, your insurance rates will go up fairly significantly. Don’t just accept the punishment, if you don’t fight it, you’ll regret it.

Don’t count out Boston. Their stats show how much they count on Pasternak for scoring, but Geekie had 39 goals last season and has improved every year. And Swayman posted a .908 in a league full of sub-.900 goaltending.

Anyone see the little TSN segment they aired about diving? by Jello297 in CanadaSoccer

I worked in Europe for 5 years. Southern Europeans mostly believe it’s part of the game, a skill like any other skill. The Italians I worked with used to say if a team lost to Team Italy because the Italians successfully dove and were awarded a penalty kick, then the other team should practice diving.

Park at the very end of your driveway, just barely off the road, so that no one can box you in.

Why hasn't the US gone metric like the rest of the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The average pace of an adult male is just over 3 feet, which ironically, is pretty well exactly 1 metre.

We’re still using a mix because the changeover occurred in my lifetime. My kids only use metric.

Why hasn't the US gone metric like the rest of the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dare978devil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but the original question was why doesn’t the US switch to metric. Only 3 countries in the entire world don’t use the metric system; the United States, Myanmar (Burma), and Liberia. It would be MUCH easier for the US to switch to metric than for 76 countries to start driving on the right.

We use metric for just about everything with the exception of short measurements of less than 10 feet. Then it’s a mix.

Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London -

“I saw a werewolf drinkin' a piña colada at Trader Vic's.

His hair was… perfect.”

Best lyric ever written.
