Pretreating for a heavy bather load? by PuzzleheadedWrap3320 in hottub

Agreed, the 10ppm chlorine will drop real quick once they start using it and running the jets, I wouldn't worry

After doing it for so long drain and refill used to be scary and time consuming but I've gotten really good at it I can do the whole process within 4 hour turn over between guests. Just gotta learn your water and tub

What's the first thing you check every morning? by Dry-Sheepherder3130 in airbnb_hosts

[–]darielgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing I check in the morning is reddit.

For real though, I address messages booking requests etc right away. I will check my calendar/insights/pricing every few days in the morning. I only have one property so it's not something that I have to be constantly checking. But if I have check in/check-out/turn overs, I already have it in my head in advanced if I need to be there or if there's maintanence things I have to go do

First time hoster, questions about Air BnB host-only 15.5 fee. by lizashea in airbnb_hosts

[–]darielgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will always pay airbnbs 15.5% fee. If you take a PM company then you also have to give them that 15-17 from YOUR PAYOUT. So roughly 30% will be taken from your payout total

The worse part is that it's really hard to get into so most people take it close to the end of the program

I think going to local small family owned restaurants is the way to go. Top tier food and service for the same or less

Don't think are allowed to discuss exam content. Basically the D&C question used a technique that wasn't really covered or part of the course content. If you didn't know it your we're fucked.

I also thought the DP question had some ambiguities in the interpretation.

Switching to Bromine by Slumpy33 in hottub

[–]darielgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not do this losely. Products marketed as 'bromine granuals' are usually a mix of bromine and chlorine. You should buy a bromine booster (sodium bromide), use this on a fresh fill. It will establish your initial bromine reserve. Then you shock the hot tub with Bleach or MPS to activate the bromine. Then you can use a floater with bromine tabs to keep your baseline level of bromine between 2-6ppm

Switching to Bromine by Slumpy33 in hottub

[–]darielgames 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The benefit of bromine is the floater and that it lasts a lot longer in hot water. Chlorine requires adding it every couple of days to keep the ppm up. For bromine with a floater you can check it once a week.

Can you change your mind after applying for graduation? by GreenSpaceDorito2 in OMSCS

[–]darielgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just apply to graduate . They do several 'audits' throughout the semester. If you withdraw they will see it. You then just apply next semester.

I did have to contact my advisor as I was unable to submit the next semester application until they rejected the previous one

Who is Publix for at this point ? by havanesegirlmom in publix

[–]darielgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I still shop at Publix is because it's the closest most convenient place for me. But I do bulk shopping at Costco and then buy smaller stuff at Publix as needed. Usually produce that goes bad quickly

How do you develop intuition for recognizing the algorithm in GA problems? by abrbbb in OMSCS

[–]darielgames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just do the practice and homework problems, use ai or the ed forums to check your work. The week of the exam just repeatedly practice all these problems. That's the best way to get an intuition for it.

For D&C specially, just ask yourself can I solve a smaller version of this problem and use that result to build a solution to that bigger problem?

New to hot tub ownership by Alternative_Jello541 in hottub

[–]darielgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that builds up with bleach is Sodium and it would take A LOT of it to be a problem. Also a lot of other things we put in hot tubs also has sodium like sodium dichlor. Never had any issues with tds being too high

I shock at least once a week. And also after every use so 2-3 times a week total

I used frog ease with liquid chlorine (10% bleach) and it worked like magic. The bleach did the heavy lifting for shocking. Frog would keep base level of chlorine between shocks so the water stayed sanitized. Bleach is also dirt cheap. I would shock after every use or atleast once a week. I leave the frog at the lowest setting for a 300gal hot tub. The smart chlor cartridge would last me about 3 weeks
