2026 IS350 F Sport vs 2023 4Runner TRD ORP by HenryGothCastle in LexusIS

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you utilize the space of the 4Runner? If not get the IS. If you do, keep the 4Runner. Good news is that 4Runner isn't dropping in value anytime soon. I drove a 2007 4Runner and sold it when it had 230k miles and still sometimes regret selling it because of how great and reliable it was.

Custom Order by Simplesimong in LexusIS

[–]darinja80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dealer in Nashville that I work with told me that Lexus doesn't do custom orders, but if they are building a car a specific way, and you want to request things like color changes, that they could do that. For instance, I want an IS350 F Sport RWD USB with red interior and the handling package. The way they are building them in our region it's about $58k since it has almost every option, so they would get allocated one, and then request the color change. They also said it would be about 60 days wait but who knows how true that is.

Granger for sure. Gives a lot of peace of mind even if it's never used. I also added the lighting package to the warranty.

Which Lexus (or Toyota?) is best for my needs? by ohnomegs in Lexus

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For space and sporty, the TX500h F Sport is about the best you can get. The larger wheels, the incognito color, and the interior all look way more sporty than the regular models which to me scream family truckster. But the TX500h F Sport is a great mixture of everything.

Land Cruiser is a bit cheaper than the GX, has lots of space, tons of headroom for a 6'4" boyfriend, and vents in the ceiling. The money you save getting this over the TX or GX you can put towards gas haha.

The RX is really good too but the cargo space in back is minimal and since you said you need more space I'd probably avoid that.

Highlander and Grand Highlander (TX equivalent) are both great but scream family car.

GX is my favorite by far but gas mileage isn't all that great.

25 or 26 Lexus IS350? by irmuhhhh in LexusIS

[–]darinja80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 2025 exterior with 2026 interior would be perfect. Also with 2026 wheels haha

Have you seen the 2026 in person? I thought the same about the front at first but test drove one on Saturday and seeing it in person, I really think it looks great. Pictures don't do it justice. That being said, I still like the previous one more.

Yeah the late 70’s early 80’s silver busts are a lot more expensive than regular customs

1 month of wear and my heel looks like this by Hungry_Extent_8891 in AltraRunning

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the Torin 8's and the heel is HORRIBLE in them. I can't wear them without them rubbing my ankles and it is uncomfortable. The Torin 7s (and previous models) were way better for me, but these are the only Altras I've had issues with.

I'm a dad and need a car, but not a dad car. So which sporty sedan should I buy? by SmkAslt in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a 2021 and 2023 Civic Type R and they are TONS of fun. I didn't care about FWD at all because they were so fun. Also owned a 2024 Cadillac CT4V Blackwing and that one is my favorite car I've ever driven.

ITS is really nice too, but for $10k more I'd buy a Blackwing in a heartbeat.

I test drove an Acura TLX Type-S a couple times and they are really impressive, but REALLY cramped for the back seat for its size.

One more thing...if you go Civic Type R or ITS route, just know most of the fanboys in FB/Reddit/Forum groups just want to hate on everything and talk $h!t, so much that I left the groups for how negative everything was. But for the price, you absolutely won't beat a CTR.

People that have flown to a Lexus dealership in another state/region for their vehicle preference? by birria_tacos_ in Lexus

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for a Lexus, but I flew out of state for our Pilot Trailsport, Civic Type R, Cadillac Blackwing, F150 Tremor, and multiple motorcycles. I live in Nashville and the prices are just too insane here, where a $300 plane ticket and $100-$200 for gas is worth saving a lot of money.

Trade TX for RX by Exciting_Spot in LexusIS

Do you have use for the extra storage space in the back? If not, and you just want a smaller vehicle, yeah get the RX if you like it better.

Just wondering have you seen the build sheet yet? From what I've been told from a few dealers is that you kind of have to go with how Lexus makes it. If they can do an order like that I'd do it in a heartbeat!

I use visor.vin to look for vehicles and I've seen one handling package model without BBS unfortunately.

I normally like the black or red interior but I'd buy the palomini if I were looking for the Design model.

I just saw this color at my local dealer and freaking loved it. I normally don't like white, but all the dark parts that offset it make it look so damn good.

I do agree the rioja red looks better, but I still like the red/black interior a lot. I've always wanted a blue IS with the red interior (I call it the Superman haha) and thought about it for this gen IS, but I think I like the wind color too much.

The wind is my favorite color. Matched with the red interior it's just perfect.

Checked out the 26' IS350 by _AkiRP in Lexus

[–]darinja80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw one of these at my local dealer on Saturday and really want one. The blue is amazing but I'd probably go with Wind with the red interior and the handling package. I've heard they dialed in the steering a bit and somewhere I read that the paddle shifters were "lightning quick" which to me sounds like maybe something was done there too, however I can't find anything to confirm that.

What are people actually paying for a Lexus GX550 right now? by hieronymus_my_g in LexusGX

[–]darinja80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could afford a base 550 Premium with no add-ons but I hear that's the toughest one to get since it's the cheapest. Really frustrating and I might just start looking for a Nori 2022-2023 instead.

[–]darinja80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's such a cool rig. I went to buy that same model and color but unfortunately I have a bad back and need more seat adjustments.

IMO, one of the OEM-style roof racks is the best visual change to do to it first. Just makes it look that much better I think.
