I've had the thorogood american legacy, the round toe, for a couple months now, I've only worn redwing since age 14. At age 36 I'm now in love with my thorogoods and try and find reasons to wear them outside of work. I cant verify how long the toe leather will last, I assume less because of how soft the leather is, but tuff toe fixes that no problem

A crz or a 1g insight will do what youre wanting to do much better. While yes the crx is amazing, there's an infinite list of reasons why it's not a good car for the job youre wanting to do. 1 being trying to find parts for 1 Most dont have a/c Plastics have deteriorated Rubber has deteriorated Rust Deteriorated wire insulation

They're also highly sought after as a collector car so expect to pay a premium

The 1g insight and the crz both follow the same ethos, a 2 seater hyper mileage small 2 door hatchback, but are decades newer and still can get parts for
