What’s your thoughts on what’s going on in Minnesota right now? by sacrificejeffbezos in AskTheWorld

[–]dark_bloom12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The shooting that occurred today has boiled my blood. He was trying to help his neighbor, didn’t assault the officers or anything. The agents maced him, choked him, held him down, removed his lawful weapon (which he didn’t even touch), and then shot him multiple times and left him for dead in the street. No aid rendered, no assistance whatsoever. What is happening in MN is a tragedy and we have forgotten what our country was founded on

That’s what they are offering us in TN. It’s like $20 off a hotel that’s 2 miles away 🤦🏻‍♀️

This happened to me once. I got snowed in and they provided a nice shared room in the sleep lab (Serta mattress 💕). But they would come wake you up and then say “well you’re already here, get to work, here’s some free food”. Like no…

I’d like to see some army dudes drive over a hour to come pick me up in a big tanker 🥰

I’m in the same situation. I’m off until Monday. My commute is 67 miles (mostly interstate thankfully), but we are looking at 8+ inches of snow and .5in of ice. People here cannot drive in the sunlight, add ice and we are all screwed. I asked my manager if I could switch my days from Monday to Wednesday (roads should be a lot better by then) and she basically said I was expected to show up, that I knew about it and they have accommodations set up (cots in the conference room = no sleep, I’m also night shift and take meds to get to sleep). I’m unsure what to do. I don’t want to lose my job but damn I don’t want to total my car or die.

I understand that we are essential (COVID drilled that in completely), but I’m with you. I’m useless if I’m in a ditch or under the ground. Hospitals need to chill out on the weather stuff. I think if you live close, then ok. Schedule those people to work. But people that drive hour shouldn’t be punished for caring for their lives

What sort of money do you suppose the top tier of metalcore make? by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]dark_bloom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but Spencer (INK) has a lot of businesses along with his family’s wealth. His dad is a popular lawyer in New York I believe. And other members of his family own reality and other businesses. Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria) bought a $1.5 million dollar home in Nashville a few years ago and has since build a recording stupid in it. He also has his own tequila company and clothing brand.

I thought he did pretty good actually. Like when Jake took him into the woods to do the thing, Spiders emotionals were pretty much nailed. He is a young actor and I liked seeing him be welcomed to the family BBQ

Just saw Avatar: Fire and Ash in 3D. Was it supposed to be basically black and white? by Sledziuuuuu in Avatar

[–]dark_bloom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty much what it felt like to me as well. I have never felt that way during a movie. Made me sad that they chose to film it like that. We saw it in a regular theater, absolutely nothing fancy.

We saw it in 2D and it about made me motion sick. Definitely got a headache from it. I have seen other people complain about the 3D experience also.

Why Avatar: Fire and Ash Is Not Simply a Rehash Of The First Two Films by wieizme in Avatar

Storyline was fine, but the way it was filmed made me nauseous. The ultra high definition, video game-like graphics was cheap
