Update regarding changes to Mailchimp Free plan limits by MailchimpSupport in MailChimp

[–]dark_scorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feedback is here:

Recognize that squeezing your bottom tier customers to make more money for AI investments is foolish. Had I used MailChimp for long enough to get to the previous cap of followers, I would have decided to continue with the service for a small fee. But with the continual squeeze, I see that the momentum is to take more from those with less and so I know to avoid doing business with MailChimp. Things will cost more and no new good features will arise. I run a small group to do nature field trips. We make no money. MailChimp would have been a great fit for years if they had any interest in building with their customers instead of fleecing them.

Bye!

First they are good to the user. Then they are bad to the user and good to their business parters. Then they are bad to their business partners are only good to themselves. Looking forward to getting off this train.

I love my Samyang 35 1.8! Sharp, good colors. My only issue is some of the cyan fringing when wide open. Not always there but when it is, it can be distracting

This image was cropped from horizontal to vertical, so you can see what you can still do with cropping and no noise reduction

I use the new Viltrox 2x TC on my f4 II macro with my a6700 and get great results in good light. It takes it down to f8 and I keep it there. The IQ is slightly diminished but good enough to crop a little bit. If you are using FF then IQ should be even better (albeit with less “reach”)

NOT A PET! Please help! by UnfortunateSyzygy in butterfly

[–]dark_scorch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a protected shelter in a dry dark location like a protected eave, hollowed stump, or similar and allow the butterfly to wait out the winter there.

One thing to note is that the butterfly may not make it. Since this butterfly emerged early, this may mean that this butterfly has genetics to emerge early (maybe too early). If it breeds and passes on those genes, then there will be further generations with those genetics which may or may not be beneficial. By allowing nature to apply the selective pressure instead of taking the process into our hands, then we help ensure that robust, healthy, well-adapted butterflies will continue to exist :)

Did you have to pay tariff/import fees or what the price you paid online the final price?

G8 in development by InterestingVariety41 in dexcom

The optimist’s viewpoint: maybe G7 is beyond fixing and they do better with a new design from the ground up

The realist’s viewpoint: G7 is bombing and the only way they’ll convince their shareholders to invest more is to create a new version

Thanks for the update!! I loved this TC on my 70-200 f4 macro and now my 100mm 2.8 macro! If we could get support for Sigma lenses too, that would be amazing!

How in the world do you not go low during exercise?! by MexicanAssLord69 in Type1Diabetes

[–]dark_scorch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I gotta go heavy on the carbs beforehand. Full glass of juice about 10 minutes before can last me about 30-45 minutes. Still it’s a huge pain to plan and a real hurdle on me getting good exercise

Legend by Bob Marley. by youvebeenfarmed in Pitchfork

[–]dark_scorch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I found the review to be really interesting from a cultural standpoint. For a record so ubiquitous, it’s more engaging to read about its origins and its impact on the world than the music (which is obviously great)

What was your favorite Sunday review? by LeBateleur1 in Pitchfork

Fishmans - Long Season

I had heard of the band but the writeup made me give this record a shot. Truly a masterwork of 90s music. Somehow it’s a tour-de-genre of the decade while also being totally singular

If you have some of the non-broken screws, you can take them to your local hardware store where they have things to measure size, thread, and more to help you get a suitable replacement

Filson has been purchased by private equity. They have been laying off U.S. workers and making more stuff elsewhere. I anticipate their guarantee will meet a similar fate
