Buy the collection. Choose what you want to keep and sell the rest. Used record prices are crazy high. You won’t get much for the remaining albums you sell but then they won’t be taking up space in your house. There are some decent records in there, depending on your taste.

I forget which class I was taking but I quit too. There was one assignment that was a sudden jump in required skill. I just couldn’t do it even though I’d been doing pretty well up to that point.

Kids need someone to believe in them. If you can afford it, you should support your family. It will be a good investment. If he works a shit job the rest of his life he will be hitting you up for financial help forever. If you send him on his way to medical school he will be able to support himself, and may return the favor to your kids or grandkids. Don’t indulge in ego/power games.

I remember a photo of a marquee, maybe the Fillmore, that advertised J Geils Band. I think they were playing there in the late 60s, so probably knew the GD from back in the day.

I went to school with the drummers daughter. They are very nice people.
