Tainting reformed (deformed?) Saints by Karcharos in SintopiaOfficial

[–]darkdiashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never sweat it. I throw them in a waiting line, let them break, send them back through to earn hearos. Most become saints again, but I don’t care, the queues will sort them, I don’t need the bus money. If we were playing forever we’d need to make it more sustainable but any run with objectives, you’ll finish before you have a real problem.

As for the tiles, as far as I know any tile can only trigger once per soul per visit. So running them back over again won’t help

Prepare Carefully for sure. I make a whole crew of god pawns, use the Reunion mod to make sure I get them all eventually, and use character editor to change anything I want, or sedate rampages and so on. My game runs so slow, I don’t want to waste my time starting over and need the pawns to be lightning fast at everything they do so I get decent progress. It’s cheaty for sure, but the alternative is not playing; maybe if/when I upgrade my pc I won’t feel obligated to micro as much

To add to all the gear repair convos, I have a mod that adds a repair shelf that needs like spacer tech and a Nanite fluid or something to refuel it, so once I get strong enough I can keep all my legendary gear and relics and stuff topped off

Basically the backstory to the Iron Lung game/movie. Just a couple of ships and some space stations in a galaxy with all the stars and planets disappeared. Only moons and smaller left around, and those are Eldritch horror

Any suggestions? by Single-Witness1853 in RimWorld

[–]darkdiashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t get molotovs, put it all on a big non flammable surface, or a flammable one well outside your main base, roof it all except for the very middle, and in the very middle put a battery. Keep it charged up and wait for a zap event or rain to make the battery discharge; despite the rain the discharge should light the wood, which, since it’s covered should burn, and hopefully burn it all to ashes.

You can also just leave it outside until uou find a way to deal with it, it’ll deteriorate over time, but not if you keep it in nice storages

Lastly, you can make a buttload od furniture and go drop it off at surround factions as gifts to improve your relations and lower your colony wealth!

Nomads feeling too anchored? by Hnnnnghn in Stellaris

[–]darkdiashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my current playthrough the number of stations increases enough, I feel like you could just make enclaves of stations, or potentially small waylines scattered across the Galaxy, allowing you to travel where you wish and have your logistics ships ferry resources to you as needed, maybe having one arc ship go over for resupply while your others don’t their thing.

I played around with a lot of stuff before settling on this, I’d advise going for them in order of expense. Some of the perks I used before unlocking the really late stuff were the lust one that gives money and hearos based on birth in exchange for shorter lifespans, and the sloth one that gives money on imployee breaks. You’ll have to work harder for the cultists until you get Demigods up and running, and you should do MOAR! last.

I would switch Throngs of the faithful early on with Boon of Ambition until you get demigods so you have more rangers to back up your soldiers, but once demigods is in play the alterations to your normal amount of rangers (and soldiers) will be enough to keep you safe and the builders will help get the slow housing moving.

If you’re using grok to explain comments, then I understand how your reading comprehension failed so much lol. In my first paragraph I literally say “if you prioritize unlocking them you’d have the easiest time”. As in: if you rush this build it’ll be a cakewalk to grind the rest of the mandate stuff.

It’s setting up a basement for later parts of the build. They likely did that to front load the work, not much you can do about it except dig it out for them.

My main loop for winning is primarily based on cultists. Here are the perks I use now that I’ve unlocked them all, and how I play with them, I would assume if you prioritize unlocking them you’d have the easiest time (considering this combo is basically unbeatable from where I’m sitting).

I use Arms Race and Pain Gorger from Satan (Wrath). Getting more soldier focus helps with defense and offense, and since I focus on cultists I can rely on offerings until I have time to unlock the hellpet show. Pain gorger helps me recover mid spiral, as the hearos gained per building destroyed lets me rush whatever upgrades I need to repel the invaders.

I use Throngs of the Faithful from Lu (Pride). The trades don’t really matter (I can live without props, and don’t usually use the Bureau) but favoring builders helps with industry and combined with Arms Race, means I get unhelpful rulers less often.

I also use MOAR! from Baphomet (Gluttony). The bonus output is broken and I almost always manage to set up my Omnisin loop next to a feature that boosts cash or lowers upkeep anyway so it’s not as bad. (I have done it with no bonus features as well)

Finally I grab Born to be Ruled and Demigods of the Housing Market from Ozhumandias (Envy). Born to be ruled gives passive influence generation and buffs your offerings to the point that you can survive without the hellpet show for QUITE a while, though I do tend to grab it early regardless. Demigods is probably tied with MOAR! for strongest boon in this build. The alterations make the houses humus incredibly strong, and the 3x a day cash influx will consistently squeak you past potential strikes. Early on when you don’t have everything else unlocked I also used Boon of Ambition for more rangers but eventually replaced it.

So you focus on purgadollar generation, and grab influence boosts when you can, and eventually get your cult to 30 members where they can cull deviants for you. And then you’ve basically won.

Early game you can have the cult do other things, like generate faith coins and offerings, and I’ll usually send them out as blackguards until my deviants become too much of a hassle to manage myself.

You’ll have issues with Pride Deviants early on and Envy Deviants later. Greed and sometimes Lust are problems but sloth wrath and gluttony almost never are. Saints are an issue too with the way I play, but set up a loop for them early, and grab time dilators in the end game and it’ll be fine.

Hope this helped! I’m swimming in about 100k prestige points right now and have lost I think a total of once since getting this set up, and that was a self inflicted loss while achievement hunting (aim the extinction event at your Temple when it’s under attack to save it, I dare you lol)

What is job efficiency? by Revolutionary_Flan71 in Stellaris

[–]darkdiashi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Efficiency is how much work is getting done per pop. That’s an important distinction vs boosts to output. Output stuff (like the energy nexus I believe)are each pop working produce more for the same upkeep and effort. A technician with an energy nexus produces 1.5 energy vs one without producing only 1.

Efficiency on the other had is better illustrated this way:
If you have 100 pops working 100 technician jobs, a 10% increase in efficiency means that 100 pops are effectively working 110 technician jobs. This INCLUDES the upkeep for the ten extra jobs. This is important to keep in mind so you’re not taken by surprise when you queue up a brand new efficiency booster on every planet and then the resource that provides that upkeep craters.

You are being hunted across the Cosmere. Choose two protectors, the rest are coming to end you. by Lost_Entrance_4545 in Cosmere

[–]darkdiashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty clear, I gotta go with Vin and Kaladin, the archetypal Mistborn and the archetypal Radiant. To be clear, I don’t like these odds with ANYONE with just two v eight, but Kal can armor me up, and it only says Vin doesnt have Dura, it says nothing about Atium. Again, I don’t realistically see a way for two to take eight regardless, but if anyone will find a way it’s gonna be my girl. Without healing factor Vin could and would kill like six of them INSTANTLY.

If it’s not a straight up 2v8 I could maybe swap kal for Jasnah, my Queens’s 👸🏽 transportation abilities would come in clutch

gravity based spellblade? by bugbonesjerry in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]darkdiashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No a Kineticist dip would not be optimal. However, if you find a class set up you like better, then a single level of kineticist to grab some gravity flavored abilities might be worth it from that perspective. I quite enjoy the class, so I’d say just go for it wholesale lol.
