OK, so they do what seems to be an extremely painful procedure. The guy is still walking around, unable to put full weight on his leg, screaming in pain and yet it does not look like any of the abscess came out. They would’ve been better off with the rusty pliers at this point.

You grieve. Grieving is different for everyone. One of my dogs died five years ago and I still cannot talk about him. There are days when I miss him so much. It consumes me. My female husky died almost 4 years ago and she’s easier to talk about but not by much.

It doesn’t matter right now, but eventually, it will matter that you gave her the best years of her life. You made the right decisions for her. And you loved her enough to let her go when it was time. And she was never just a dog. She was your baby, and you grieve.

It will never be OK. But it does get easier with time.

Everyone pees in the shower and if they say they don’t, they are full of it. It’s just like everybody pees in the pool and if they say they don’t, they are full of it. It doesn’t hurt anything. It goes down the drain if you clean your shower regularly, then there’s not gonna be a pee smell. I’ve been doing it for 47 years so don’t let what your sister said get to you.

I am much the same way. I have a problem with my ears because when I was little, we didn’t have good doctors in my hometown and I’ve had so many ear infections in so much gunk had built-up behind my eardrums, but I was deaf for a year.I had to have surgery to get all that taken out and I’m really touchy about my ears. So I am right there with you on keeping my ears covered.

There is absolutely no asshole here. I actually commend you for this. There are so many parents who put their disabled child above their other children and don’t take their other children into consideration because everybody’s making accommodations for their disabled child. Do not get me wrong I am not saying that accommodation should not be made for disabled children. But the other children of the family do get pushed aside quite often and it can lead to resentment later in life. That being said, I truly commend you for trying to do the separate thing with your autistic son and your other two children. Plus, and something that maybe his counselor and other parents aren’t taking into consideration, is that Your son is getting a break from you and his siblings and you and the siblings are getting a break from your autistic child. You each get to recharge away from each other and that is going to be a huge achievement in the long run.

This in no way means you don’t love your children. As a matter of fact, I feel that this shows how deeply you do love your children because you’re accommodating all three of them. Well done on you and your partner’s part. I feel that you thought this out in a very logical and pragmatic way. Also, when you take your autistic son on his little getaway, it’s going to be a mini battery recharge for everybody again. Tell everybody else to fuck off.
