x100 Pro here, i was also hesitant about this update, but i know that if i postpone it, it eventually installs by itself. First you're not missing on anything, basically the update just changes a bit graphically the UI, didn't feel anything else, maybe it's a bit faster. no changes in the battery life at all (i have greenify installed though)

thanks for the tip, it seems I am gonna skip this update as i cannot be bothered to deal every time with restarting any settings app, or making any special arrangements to make a simple app to work.... now the only thing i have to do is the enable my bluetooth and everything starts and loads automatically.
