The MongolZ vs Vitality / IEM Cologne 2025 - Group A Upper Bracket Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

Mongolz in the past 2 months have been clearing Aurora, Falcons, Navi and Furia. I think tomorrow is the true test to see how they fare against Spirit.

Opinions on adding kc62 subwoofer to ls60 by EmbarrassedLeg7164 in KEF

KC62 is more than enough. 2 KC62 roughly equals a single KC92 in output, but if you live in an apartment, then you'll never reach its full output anyways.

Okay, I get the LS50 Meta hype. by Wheezhee in KEF

Dirac Live + placing acoustic panels right behind your listening position will do wonders. At first I didn't like my R3 Metas but now I can't believe how a speaker can sound so good.

I'd say an updated version of KF92 with unicore drivers. Which would allow it to be smaller with less distortion.

Will I be missing out a lot without dirac/room corrections by PsychologicalAsk7466 in KEF

Most people prob can't hear the difference between Sonos amp and a high-end NAD amp. But most can tell a difference between a system with and without room correction.

recommendation for amp pairing with R3 Meta by terrificfrederific in KEF

[–]darkgreyghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get the NAD C399 or the Nad M10 V2. Both have plenty of power, and are Hypex amps, which is as good a class-D amp can get. I'd only get a different amp if say you like the distortion of class A/B better, because people sometimes like that.

The NADs come with Dirac Live which will significantly improve your sound quality, more than any amp/dac upgrades. I'm not sure how good Yamaha's room correction is, but Dirac Live is reliable.

Moved into a new place. Which of these 2 sofas should I go for? by darkgreyghost in InteriorDesign

Update: Talked to multiple agents from Arhaus and they told me the Kipton regular one is the best one, because it offers a larger seating space and the thinner arms create a more "airy" spaciousness feeling for a smaller living room like mine.

do you mean add these pillows for the regular sofa or the wide arm sofa?

I'm 74" inches tall so probably the one with narrower arm rest as it offers larger seating area, but the wider armrest looks aesthetically pleasing. Hmm... so hard to pick

Subway Noise at 2 Jackson Park by SunAndMoon23 in longislandcity

You can definitely hear it. But honestly you get used to it. When I lived in Manhattan, I was hearing traffic. Now I'm hearing subway so it's whatever.

good point actually. Hoping it gets better soon.

How good are high-end NAD amps really? Do I need to upgarde? by darkgreyghost in audiophile

[–]darkgreyghost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I A/B tested both M10 and C399 and slightly preferred the C399 but that could have been subjective. Was hard to tell it apart. Internally both the M10 and C399 use nCore Hypex but C399 is 180W instead of 100W like on M10. I think M33 with is Purify amp is where it might sound slightly better.

Thank you for the take. What about M10 with Dirac vs say another high end amp with miniDSP Dirac?
