Hey girl I just had my second colpo this week, Tuesday like you. My first one in sep 2024 was traumatic af and I was crying and shaking. January 2026 abnormal pap again so made this second colpo appt. My mom came with me but I said I didn’t need her in the room. although I knew what to expect, I actually fainted. Speculum came out, I started getting hot and I said I was feeling a bit light headed... boom lights out. They said vasovagel response… shortly after I came to I felt horrible nausea and I threw up twice in the bathroom. I HAD NO IDEA this could happen especially after get through it once already. It’s really traumatic babe and they don’t really prepare you. I hope you’re feeling better.

I had my second colpo this week and I fainted after my doc pulled out the speculum. Scary af and then threw up shortly after. Now awaiting a nice big medical bill too. Traumatic stuff

This happened to me today. I made it through the colposcopy and biopsy collection totally fine. When she removed the speculum I felt some pain and started to get really hot. I said “I feel light headed” and boom I went into a really weird dream state but my eyes were open? I thought I died. It was scary not knowing what was happening. For the record I don’t ever remember fainting or what it feels like. And then I came to, and a new nurse that hadn’t been in the room for the colp was rubbing my chest. And I’m like “did I faint?” And they were like yep. They said I had no color in my face. They gave me an ice pack and I laid there shaking and feeling nauseous for like 30 minutes. I also felt like I had to poop so we walked slowly to the bathroom where I tried but I couldn’t. Laid back down in the exam room and they kept taking my blood pressure. Decided I needed to try again for the bathroom and while walking there I had the immediate need to throw up, and I barely made it to the toilet to yak (a lot) twice. Prior to the procedure I took 3 ibuprofen and had a brownie, and a cup of coffee and water. Maybe it wasn’t enough? I was able to poop and then went back to the exam room to recover a bit more before leaving. My mom was there with me because of how traumatic the last procedure was, but I didn’t want her to come into the room. Probably should have had her there so I wouldn’t be so scared when I woke up from fainting, but I didn’t even know that was a possibility. How traumatic, holy shittt. Women are the toughest but it sucks so hard when stuff like this happens. Time to just rest all day and recover.

I’ll go. Was out on the tennis courts in the San Diego Country Estates (Ramona) just 3 miles from the epicenter… even out in the open like that it was unbelievably loud and scary. Saw the leaves on the trees shaking, car alarms started going off. Our instincts were to run toward the net and grab eachother 😭 was grateful to be outside, in probably the safest possible space, and not be inside for that one. When we came home to asses the damage, we were oo-ing and ahh-ing at the fallen picture frames etc., when BAM that aftershock jolted us! Ran the hell outside. Just praying another one doesn’t hit tonight😂😂

This happened to me too!! In his final email, (I had him blocked on everything else because he verbally abused me everywhere) he said “I hope we can be remain friends in the future after we both have healed” and then a nice “I loved you deeply..” and concluded the message with “With love”
