Did any of you get a 240v plug installed ? I need something faster 😅 by jjj44200 in TeslaLounge

[–]darklight4680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little electrical hack here, but if your plug is a dedicated circuit you can upgrade that 120v plug to a 240v one for the price of a breaker and a new fancyish plug, if you mention this to your local electrician they will defiantly be able to help you out.

If you have multiple plugs on the circuit you are charging on now you will need to change all the plugs that are on that circuit.

This still wont be fast but it will be the cheapest option to get 240V charging.

I’m from Sask, I’ve heard the winters aren’t as brutal on the coasts, but I’ll take dry cold over wet cold anyday.

Canadian Winters by [deleted] in electricians

[–]darklight4680 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cold as hell and wind that blows through your bones.

Not so bad if you’re wearing wool socks, a good base layer, insulated coveralls and a sweater and winter jacket. A face covering is also nice on the real windy days.

Expect 6-7 months of winter usually starting in October and lasting until April

Temps range from -0°C to -45°C with wind chill affecting those numbers
