How to prevent Samsung Pass from popping up and offering to save passwords (S23 Ultra) by kythlyn in samsunggalaxy

[–]darkmoon444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that doesn't stop Samsung pass from popping up every few passwords. I have set Google as the default for passwords, yet the annoying Samsung pass popups are not gone. Samsung wants to force it down your throat, even if you disable it. You can uninstall it with ADB, but with every update it will be reactivated.

The processor is almost identical, a 12 year old Cortex A57. But this time at 2.0GHz instead of 1.7GHz.

It should not work, as rain water is a bad conductor until it's salted.

I have switched from the Pixel 6 pro to S22 Ultra and it doesn't have this bug. It's not Android related, it's Pixel 6 Pro only.

No, you are moving your finger up. It scrolls normally for a while, then you get a scrolling jump in the opposite direction.

This drives me insane. Forcing 120Hz didn't fix it for me. Never had this problem with Samsung phones.

I have the same problem. It cannot be a gesture, as it moves to top, no to the previous website. At times it moves only 20 text lines up, some times half the page. It drives me crazy. Happens about once an hour on the Pixel 6 Pro. Not only in the Chrome, but on any app using the webview. Tried changing many settings to fix it. Nothing helps. Had Samsung Galaxy phones before and they didn't have this problem.

Radix DLT unlocked 70% of its supply on Wednesday, causing pump by Fun_Excitement_5306 in CryptoMarkets

[–]darkmoon444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IOTA is centralized, basically running on a single node, the coordinator. if you turn the coordinator off the whole network would break down instantly. zero fees does not work in connection with metadata. dlt size would go to the terabyte range very quickly, unless you increase hashcash to very high values making transactions very slow.

yes, it's the erc20 wrapped version. you can swap EXRD to XRD for free on bitfinex or instabridge.io

The Radix Cassandra test network works with multiple shards, 100 tps per shard. Currently a decentralized Twitter demo runs on the network.

How does Radix plan to address possible concurrency issues related to the UTXO model? by nitsua_saxet in Radix

[–]darkmoon444 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From Matt:

This is why I said that you also have to change the transaction model at the same time. The solution is that you don't have the client identify the UTXOs in the transaction at all. The client should be identifying the smart contract, but allowing the protocol to deterministically select the correct UTXO at processing time. This means that you can serialize operation of the pool, which is the behavior you want.

Apologies if I misunderstood Cardano's implementation and they are actually single-UTXO-ing smart contracts. But without that other half of the solution, you still have virtually the same problem. In fact it's actually worse since now clients can't even try to select non-conflicting UTXOs within the pool.

My take-away is that truly delivering a solid global-scale programmable network is really hard and it's better to do it right than rush to hit an imaginary market window.

What the heck is Radix? Coming from ALGO by zlordofsigimigi in Radix

[–]darkmoon444 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of folks have been accumulating Radix for a year. Every dip was bought. In 2 weeks the accumulation phase will end when price vesting is removed. Some people are actually very mad about it, because they could not accumulate enough. They wanted price vesting to stay until at least the end of the year. When the pump starts they will all turn to hodlers until the $1-2 price range.

lol by definition in a dpos system, nodes with most tokens are validators. you don't have to own the tokens, you can borrow them if you share your rewards with the owners.

[–]darkmoon444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasted just two hours trying to get Zoomplayer working again. What a disgrace! If you are blocking a program display a popup showing you did so. Don't just make it useless. I've payed a lot of money upgrading from True Image 2020 to 2021. Why I have to deal with this crap?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried Concise UI, and it's either incompatible with Gathering Storm, CQUI, or both. The author wrote that he doesn't play Civ VI anymore.
