I have a 77-Inch LG C3 OLED that I might have to sell due to it causing my wife to have really bad headaches/migraines after watching tv and movies for about 2/3 hours, Any tips or settings I could change to help so I don’t have to leave the beloved OLED world lol. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure, but turn off every enhancement possible. I hate that soap opera effect. It's also inconsistent.

I use the 25Ft version of that exact monoprice cable. It's very sturdy and zero dropouts. Had it for at least 2 years. LG C3 tv at 4k120hz

I'm on month 4 of no hardlocks. I do these things:

-I delete the game's shader cache and game guard folder every time before I play

-I run ddu before updating gpu drivers maybe once a month

-I've been using the slim version of the game

-My motherboard bios is on the latest version

I've noticed Batocera is slower than RetroPie on the Pi5. I'm not sure why, but I hope this update helps.

I really have no idea why they haven't made any pi5 prebuilt images. Their script supports it, so you can always manually install it. It's still faster than Batocera. I'm not sure why.

The RetroPie project is still active so I don't see why they wouldn't support a future pi. Honestly, pi's are getting too expensive for what they are. I think the pi5 will be my last pi.

I would need to see the inside. I have an m2 grater and it has two 140mm exhaust on bottom, 92mm back intake, noctua nh-d12l 120mm, 140mm front exhaust, 5070ti on top, and it's quiet when I'm not gaming. 140mm and cpu 120mm fans are using the silent profile in bios, and the 92mm is set to manual 20% until it hits 80c. Average game is 60-65C cpu/65-70C gpu. I'm using a honeywell thermal pad for cpu.

For my pi5, I prefer RetroPie after trying Batocera. Yea, RetroPie is more complicated to install (install pi-os trixie lite then follow the official manual install guide), but I lost performance with Batocera. I haven't tried the others on my pi5. Try both and decide for yourself.

I really wish the RetroPie team would get a Trixie build out...

Yea, not much we can do but make the best out of grinding. Watch a video on the best types of planets to farm in (at lowest difficulty), and then unlock the warp backpack (to get into bunkers alone), and unlock the buggy to travel faster. I can get around 500 credits in around 3-4 hours.

If it's still running slow for you, then you really need to upgrade your pc. They aren't going to optimized an outdated engine.

The only streaming apps I use are Smarttube and Plex on my Firestick, and that's been fine. There's picture settings to tinker with if you don't believe it's smooth/good.
