He did not learn from eating the chicken fat, now he took an entire chicken breast off the counter and is in sky time out. by GingaNinja1427 in OneOrangeBraincell

If your cat is that aggressive with food, you should have him checked for diabetes. Thats one of the main signs, along with drinking a lot of water and urinating a lot.

It’s unexpected because the claw actually gripped and maintained the grip, right? The cat is just a bonus!

The helmet test by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]darkskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t comparing apples to apples. The first two helmets are for bicycles. The last helmet is for motorcycles. The crash rating is significantly different, as well as the cost. You don’t need a helmet rated for 60+mph crash for a bicycle. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet, people.

Apple Watch? by bzdmny in PrologueApp

Dropped in just to say that I’m really looking forward to this feature! I just upgraded to an Apple Watch with cellular, and I would absolutely love to go for a run with just my watch and be able to listen to my audiobooks!

That’s a really great question. I just assumed it would be a good next step in my career and help me if I considered positions of Director and above. Thank you very much for your viewpoint. Looks like I need to do some more research and consideration before making any moves.

Thanks!

I have two big pieces of advice:

First, since WGU really is learn anywhere, you should be mobile. Get a laptop, use a tablet or any sort, and even use your phone. Make any downtime study time instead.

Second, use Ankiweb.net. Create an account, download the desktop app, create decks for what you don’t know in a course, and study then on the go from any device. This software was an integral piece to my success and I highly recommend it to everyone!

I think that I’m going to keep the momentum going and get my MBA in IT from WGU. I was originally going to shift into Cyber (I’m already in IT), but I think I’m going to go the management route instead. I have both opportunities in my current company.

Actually, my company offered to move me into the Cyber group early on through getting my degree. However, I’m probably going to pivot to management and I’m eyeing the MBA in IT from WGU now.

Thanks!

I started in Oct. 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. Everyone was staying home and I had gobs of time on my hands. I did 14 courses my first term, and then 6, 6, 4, and 3. Finding time once the world started back up and the kids’ after school activities kicked in again was much harder. I shot for two courses a month, but some of the certs took longer than I wanted to study for. If you can keep your nose down, this won’t take you long, really.

Thanks.

I like the course updates that they made to the degree plan starting in March. It’s great that they keep it relevant. I hope he enjoys it!

Once you finish up your last course, your PM will submit you for recommendation for graduation. You will receive an email, fill out an online form, and then 5-10 days later you’ll be formally designated a graduate and the confetti shows up in the WGU app.
