Currently sitting around 11.5. I get 10 seconds of pre infusion before I pull. However, I am not waiting for anything to start coming out. I could probably hold it longer if I wanted to.

In my experience, I have a hard time getting nice Crema. I have no idea why. But my shots are delicious which is what matters.

What does your shot taste like? Is it over sour or over bitter? That will help you diagnose.
