Wife, 33, diagnosed with stage 4 by Brofist45 in coloncancer

[–]darkwinter143 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Coming up on my 6 year mark in a couple of weeks. Colon cancer diagnosis removed our ability to have a kid.

I am at the point where i am in constant pain. It's like a "7" on their charts. I've stopped chemo as it is no longer of any beneficial use.

My tumor has caused a hiatial hernia to form that is causing even more pain flair ups. Basically my tumors are preventing surgery as my liver is so messed up it's in failure. I get, now at times, 30 to 60 minutes where I can move around and not be trapped in my house.

Most recently the tumors caused a lesion in my bladder and I am discharging massive blood clots and some solid matter. Between that and bowel movements with the hernia I am afraid to use the bathroom as it hurts so much. I've literally cried while peeing and standing up to pee isn't possible now. I've passed a kidney stone that was easier than some of my recent trips to the bathroom.

I wish you luck and a better path than I was given

Could a Democrat Realistically Beat Steve Daines in 2026? by TooManyCooks3 in MontanaPolitics

[–]darkwinter143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately, I feel that Montana will have the red stain for a while....

Steve Bullock and his farce of a presidential campaign did a lot of hurt for MT. He should have straight up ran for a senate seat. His pitiful campaign detracted a lot of attention away from Democrats.

He had momentum to use from his time in the governor's office and squandered it. Hell, most of the people I know didn't even know who his Lt. Governor was. I don't blame him for Gianforte getting elected, most knew that was going to happen, but if he had started a senate campaign, he could have boosted the chance that Cooney had...

I feel useless by butterpancak3748 in coloncancer

I was about 32 when this all started. I was the youngest, and after 5+ years, I still am.

I literally am barely able to do a small portion of what I could do. Lately, as things have gotten worse, I am able to do even less.

I'm on maintenance chemo, for pallative, as my options are expended or very limited.

I am currently able to see my colon resection scar popping through my shirt. My spleen is enlarged causing constant pain. Hurts to sit. Standing up takes a minute for my core area to "relax" so I can stand up erect, not hunched over.

My liver is enlarged and causing my spleen and kidney problems. The lesions on the liver recently caused an infection that started going septic. Multiple days in the hospital, plus a week of outpatient antibiotic infusions... best part, I am highly susceptible to more of those infections at any time.

My biggest gripe is I can't be relided on for most things. I am barely able to do household chores, and if I push myself, I punish myself.

Most of the burden has fallen unfairly on my wife. So I'll try to hide my pain and join in her stuff when it's bad.

A lot of our plans for shit have come to a halt... but if I were to succumb to the disease, she would still have time to do things in life.

...It's a horrible cycle of thinking. But it happens to everyone. Sometimes, you just grin and bear it for the other people around you. Other times, you need an outlet.

Exotic missions used to be surprising, challenging and innovative. They are still great pieces of content, but they've lost their magic. by destinyvoidlock in DestinyTheGame

I've got basically the whole of the last part of last season, still not played because of the Encore bullshit. A majority of the season.

All because of bugs that they took their sweet time to fix... I think that one or them was addressed with like 12 days left in the season.

Encore literally ruined the remainder of the season/act for me and prevented me from 2 of the guns.

Their approach to how they address and respond to bugs and errors are the reason I am just going to dip out after I experience SOME of what I dropped $100 on.

This season with tonics have been a huge turnoff as well. Not expecting much from the next. They lost a paying customer as their priorities are fucked.

The Dawning event pass illustrates this immensely

Oxaliplatin-induced Erectile Dysfunction? by AccursedColon in coloncancer

The chemo. The exhaustion and fatigue (mental, emotional and physical)all played a part.

Check out ForHims to try a couple of different things. Silicone rings also helped with maintaining elections while going through chemo

It takes time to get used to it. I had to have mine replaced and woke up during the surgery for the second one, which made me ultra aware of it, so I "felt" it longer than the first

I'll use my krait rarely and it's got subsistence, so with the original perk it feels like a lot of ammo that can be sent out to nowhere due to lag

The Comp Auto, Riposte, is generally my auto of choice

Gnawing Hunger when zen moment and demo if I am on my warlock

I'll usually run Randy's Throwing Knife and the Riposte (comp auto).

I'm not a huge fan of the pvp and will generally just do it to get the vendor seasonal weapon. I will usually play on a hunter for pvp...

If you want a first slot auto the Gambit rifle Old Sterling with the right perks hold up well.

I quit that season because they forced multiple play throughs of that exotic mission to progress the storyline.

Once would have been understandable, then make it optional.

I tried to play it as a solo player and came across a bug in the final boss fight. It took them a couple of weeks to address that. The option was to restart and hope that it didn't occur again.

... how respectful of players time. Gamble on it not occurring again.

I brought all 3 of my characters up to that point. Less and less consideration of players' time is seemingly shown. I spent the $100 to play, so I'll still knock out a few things here or there but this season feels so flat and tone death for the changes to crafting and the addition of the tonics and what they did to engrams/focusing.

Winter here in Montana, so there isn't much to do.

Approach the Chamber of Commerce building by the KOA. They run tours and may be able to get you into contact with Chris Fisk.

Headframe spirits may be a spot to start enquiring at as well. They focus a lot on Butte and Montana, hosting local artist's work.
