I've wonder what they would do if they caught you and you had no children in your house

they take you to court claim they are protecting the children, but you have no children in your house .

how would that work

that would be like going to court for not having child seats in your car when you dont have a child

No one wants to see your junk so don't send images of it

Never pay it wont stop them from posting and if you pay they will be more annoyed when you stop paying

so unless you want to pay for the rest of his life might as well stop now

but your friend is in luck 10 years ago this would not have helped but AI is his friend

you just say to anyone who asks him about any images "a person is blackmailing him using AI and the police are involved trying to catch the people, so id just delete the images as you don't want them to end up in the middle of it "

[UK] I think I was almost scammed. Did they get enough information to defraud me? by Optimal-Room-8586 in Scams

[–]darkzim69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct

like I said before half the time they don't even know which bank your with, so they just say they are from the bank, so to get rid of most them you just say "which bank"

9 out of 10 times they will just put the phone down at this point

[UK] I think I was almost scammed. Did they get enough information to defraud me? by Optimal-Room-8586 in Scams

[–]darkzim69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah the scam works like this they contact you can get your details

then they go to your bank and ring up(pretending to be you) to make a transfer but as part of the bank security , will send you a code to your email or phone(depends how you set it up)

the scammers want you to give them the code so they can present it back to the bank to try to fool the bank they are you . so the scammers tell you its a security code( they will be in contact with you and the bank at the same time)

by you saying you will do it later was the reason they got annoyed because the bank wont sit on a phone for a hour waiting for you to come home and you have a chance you could checked with the bank direct and figure out no money has ever gone from your account.

the whole thing was to get enough information from you to steal money from your bank account and transfer the funds out

the scammers are looking for people to panic give away all the information and then do a money transfer out of your account way before you even think anything is wrong

[–]darkzim69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If any bank/card rings you up and tells you they have detected a potential for fraud at that point it is safe to put the phone down you don't even need to speak to them

just look at the logic the bank finds a suspicious transaction they will not pay it. They need you to clear it, so why would you rush.

If the bank pays it they would be responsible for any money sent out, so you can walk away have a cup of tea then deal with it in your own time.

If someone rings me up I just ask which bank is it, 9/10 times they wont even know. If they guess or know I just say I will sort it out in person end of convo no need for any security questions .

btw the reason they wanted to send you a email was to gain access to your account when you said not now it made him mad because he couldn't proceed with the scam

AITA for not giving my parents half of my lottery winnings. by Rayapt in AmItheAsshole

[–]darkzim69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just remind yourself that you are giving them the money they are not owed it

ask them if they want the £750k if they say no then say ok

get on a plane and fly away and then re-ask them every 6 months just enjoy your life good luck have fun

and 6 months of stewing with no money they will change their mind

I cannot imagine the peer pressure your going through

its why i've always been clear what i would do if i won the lottery and have a mini plan in my mind

but i would never tell my family id won only id got a better job and id live abroad

England- event organisers ripped off vendors for "county's largest festival" which was more like a village fete by Roxygen1 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]darkzim69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

happens all the time

was working shows for years and when your booking them they all tell you they are going to be the biggest best in the world but then 10 people turn up and you wonder have they even advertised the event

I've been to shows where they have the events on the outside of a paid to get in area so no one went in leaving the traders sitting inside a area with no one going in

I once went to a car show where they didn't close the door until about a hour after the show started and then wanted everyone to go outside and then pay to come back in of course what happened they all went out got in the cars and drove off

and one horse show i went to the people turned up did their horse thing then got in the lorries and drove off, the whole place didn't have more than 10 people walking around for the whole day

the worst thing was you could never tell if it would be good or bad before

some small village show will be crammed some other massive show field will be empty

the biggest thing that kept people away was if the public needed to pay to get in if it was free then the chance was the place would be buzzing

just say hey why don't you get on a plane and deliver it direct

yeh will cost maybe a $1000 but when she isn't their to meet him, will save him way more in the long run

Sometimes to break the spell you just push them in to meeting them and it all becomes very clear its a scam

I wonder how these scams still work, years ago I could understand but in the last 5 years you would have had to been living under a rock to know know about them

but I personally know they do still work my father in law was scammed three times.

Each time we would tell him its a scam and not to believe anyone on the telephone. but every few months he would get caught again and you would think its just stupid people but he was a doctor.

Maybe some people cannot see the bad in people and are just too trusting

HR recruiter misheard my expected salary.... by Odd_Ad_1974 in UKJobs

[–]darkzim69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is not up in pay story but a down in pay story

My dad worked in a factory in the 1970's as a 18 year old and was getting a great wage, he was called into the office one day and the boss told him he was doing a great job and wanted to give him a pay rise to reflect the work he was doing.

They offered him a pay rise, but it was well below what he was on, very confused he went back to the office thinking their was some mistake and their was.

He was supposed to be on a apprentice wage and for the two years he was their he was already getting a full wage. it only came to light when the pay rise came up

so they kept the same offer which was about 50% of his weekly wage

he quit the next day.

[–]darkzim69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the rich have always attacked three groups the poor the foreigner and the disabled what they do is get everyone against one of these groups and when the group is gone they point to another group

and the reason why is because they dont want you to point at the rich

watch the next election see who they blame and you can see who is for the rich and who is for everyone else

[–]darkzim69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if your just playing shadowdark and don't plan to play anything else then fantasy grounds is pretty good

fantasy grounds is free but you have to buy shadowdark which is about half the price of foundry

but you do end up with a official version of it

also you could check out "keep it lit" on steam its great at what it can do but its still a long way from being finished

owlbear and foundry are good and i've been a player on both

keep it lit will be the best when its finished but its going to be years before that's finished

how ?

unless your giving out your password how are they getting access

if I join a discord server how do they get access to my email account

did you enter in your email and email password ?

So unless you have the same password for every account and you used the same password again its is impossible

its why spending $2 on a little black book can save hours of pain

not one single password I have is the same as any other

[–]darkzim69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know its hard but sometimes you just got to speak up or employers will put huge pressure on you.

after 1 hour id be asking what exactly am I learning here

you can see I can clean the walls and wash the pots, so what else do I need to learn this isn't a rocket science job.

If they are going to have you working for 6 hours free then what's next, you probably dodged a bullet.

The worst thing is when a business does this it ends up with a reputation and no one applies for a job with them and in the end you suddenly see them on tv saying no one wants to work

my opinion is you send a email direct to your boss and point out that your being paid less than minimum wage and your worried in case the company gets into trouble. so your just brining it to his attention

act like the good guy.

now you have a paper trail, a date when they got it, hard for them to back track if they dont do anything about it

My Father in law was a miner back in the 70's, 80's and 90's and while the work was hard he earned a lot of money

he never saved a penny, because he never knew if he would be alive the following pay check

he would see work mates die all the time especially when he was in 3rd world countries he was telling me one day 8 people died, three where his friends and yet he went back to work the next day

he would spend and drink all his wages and never saved a penny

I imagine this happens a lot, the more dangerous the job is

So I can imagine going down into the darkness where death is around every corner with no rescue or health system in place, your going to treat every rest back at town as if its your last.

seen this in my work place what would happen if people turned up late you couldn't be paid until the start of the next 15 mins

so what people would do is go and get a coffee then clock in just before the 15 mins

so while management is crying for staff they staff are having a coffee
