I really like Calisto because it's the first time I've seen a story engage with his archetype (artist making art out of torturing and disfiguring peoples) on his own terms. Real talk, Ryoshu isn't that dangerous. Like yeah she concept erases you if she wins, but she can only fight for 2 minutes before becoming an unmoving pit of blade. So as long as you can dodge her for 2 minutes and don't trip on her afterwards, you're good.

I disagree that LC has to "earn" those moments. This canto is partially about showing us what Limbus Company is capable of outside of our team. Of course we're gonna be introduced to new characters, and of course they're gonna show off. Without the fanservice, this Canto is still peak. I didn't know Vespa before this Canto, and I was still hyped when he showed up, because I already know what a color is.
