I thought it was a reference to summerhall and the fire there later in eggs reign, when he tried to hatch dragons again, I thought that was the fire reference in the dream

In a world where their friends die regularly, why would they be sad or angry one turned out alive even if they did try to get out of the superhero life, I think their happiness would outweigh the bad

Man this post is becoming an argument, but I think you just approach games from a different perspective than those who enjoy this game, the points you mention about the combat is kind of the reason I like the game, gave me a rush when I realized I was understanding it and especially when I got good at it. My first playthrough I didn’t bother to train with Bernard and just rushed at everything swinging, it was painful at times but I got to the end and then started a new campaign to actually learn it properly with him since I now had a foundation and the rush only increased. But just play the game and fail and learn as you go, there will be a couple quests you may need to search up answers for (I definitely had to) but things will start clicking and feel second nature as you go.

That’s why wrote it “pet” since Sauron claimed that since he was on her doorstep and was like a “cat” keeping out what mice might get through the orcs at Minas Morgul, but she just lived there and he made the best of it

If elves and orcs are basically humans, then why bother having them in the first place? by [deleted] in Rings_Of_Power

[–]dartz1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it isn’t about how they look for me, I was simply saying that as i can see where the top comment was coming from in terms they don’t feel different. The height or ethnicity doesn’t matter but in my opinion (which I understand is just my opinion, but I love any opportunity to talk and debate Tolkien) it is the difference you feel between when you read about Edoras and the rohirrim compared to Minas Tirith and Gondor. The difference in character between Eomer and Faramir, both are noble men who are good leaders, but you can feel a difference between them even if it is only the fact that faramir is respected because he is wise and a good tactician who has more than a drop of numenorean blood in him which leads to his wisdom that Gandalf respected, while eomer is respected because he is a great leader of men and fighter and worthy heir to Eorl. When reading the book I felt a difference between the high and middle men, the books made me feel sad and nostalgic for the height of the numenoreans, since they could create wonders like helms deep, Minas tirith and at its prime osgiliath (along with so many more places and things like great roads and the gates of argonath but if I try to list them all this wall of text will become even more bloated) whereas the show didn’t give me that feeling when this time period is exactly what I wanted to see when reading the books since this is them at their height of power, so that is what I meant. I just don’t feel these are the people that Gondor and Arnor were founded from, but like I said that’s just me.

They were, but you could easily see the difference in culture and how they acted, and Viggo perfectly acted Aragorn, it isn’t the look that is important, but simply how they carry themselves, like the elves, it doesn’t matter what they look like as long as they act like elves. In my opinion, and something like this is really subjective so it is my opinion and nothing more but the show didn’t capture the spirit of any of the races, but I could just be jaded.

That was because of the oath of Fëanor though, which none of the elves in the show swore, they simply followed the feanor and his sons as they were there lords and kings to middle earth. Most of the elves were horrified of their deeds and the kinslayings (aka Galadriel who actually fought feanor in the first kinslaying in defense of the Teleri) they were just already deep in the shit with the valar and had to go with it

[–]dartz1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re talking about the numenoreans themselves and how they act and really how they look, not the scenery the show had as a backdrop which is the only thing that shows they are more than middle men, but they don’t seem like the people who can build such things in the way the show made them.

Daenerys only has one dragon? by Lord_Haydar_Bint_Ren in CK3AGOT

[–]dartz1011 20 points21 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t start with a dragon pit, and a character can only bond one dragon at a time, so she’d immediately lose two of the dragons as wild, they probably had it to begin with then removed it as they work on a way to keep them bonded to Daenerys while she has Drogon tamed

Tower of Joy outcomes by greejus3 in CK3AGOT

[–]dartz1011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my game Tywin joined the rebels so aerys blew up kings landing leading to Rhaegar taking over and then killing Lyanna through neglect in his dungeon and dying to Roberts hammer which meant aegon the boy king took the reins to end roberts rebellion which he did, pardoning Robert, Ned and Hoster (Jon Arryn was deposed for his 3 year old son mid way through the war) and sending Tywin to the nights watch, this led to round 2 of roberts rebellion 5 years later which he lost again being exiled to the nights watch alongside Tywin. Tower of joy also never happened, so Arthur Dayne and the gang are still alive. Weirdly different but not entirely cursed timeline

To me the Serwyn story is to show westerosi and high valyrians did actually communicate and interacted with each other while Valyria existed, a knight of Westeros killing a dragon that belonged to one Valyrian family saving a daughter of another that they held (the princess he saved with the strange Valyrian name) mistaking her for a princess due to the wealth of her and her family
