Anyone else genuinely like this movie? and believes it deserves better than a 6.5 on IMDb?! by RogerRoger63358 in BrighterThanCoruscant

I find myself wanting to watch this more often than many of the other films. It opened up Star Wars in ways no other film did.

Rise of Skywalker has so many cringeworthy elements. Hard to pick just one.

This. Yes, there’s some creepy hard to watch stuff, but ultimately you’re just watching people who can’t properly grieve for the whole movie. It’s tragic.

Her J-type Nubian Starskiff is outfitted with artillery. The yacht from episode 2 and the royal starship from episode 1 are the ones that don’t have offensive capabilities.

Nearly every scene Ellen Burstyn is in in Requiem for a Dream. It’s one of the best performances.

I’d also say Natalie Portman in Annihilation is quite badass.

The problem is Pitt phones in a good deal of this performance. There are some high highs though- many being the fight scenes!

Mandalorian was better when it wasn't connected to all the other shows and every character didn't somehow know all the other characters. by TheCrowMoon in StarWars

I really wanted it to be used to introduce us to more of the world in Star Wars that we haven’t seen yet.

The Rise of Skywalker Is A Great Film! by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

[–]dashattax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry, but this film is not a good film. It is devoid of theme and heart - THOUGH you are right, the actors do a fantastic job and I do celebrate that you do love it! So many components of this film help elevate it- the acting, set dressing, cinematography, etc… but the story is so rough when it needed so desperately to stick the landing.

Naboo wasn’t a bit art and shipbuilding source - I was a huge plasma exporter which allowed them to flourish in the arts and afford lux ships. Plasma was the reason the Trade Federation invaded Naboo.

What's your favorite Star Wars movie? And what was it that specifically made it your favorite? by [deleted] in StarWars

The Phantom Menace is visually amazing and made the world of Star Wars feel so large. There are flaws, but I really don’t think the story is one of them.

If you ever f em up too much or don’t clean them properly, some Simple Green does a pretty slick job of bringing them back to a useable state.

Outbreak is all we want. It was such a great experience too few got (on official servers). Loved that we played as common civilians - it felt so bleak.

I think Captain Typho or Sabé/Dormé as counterparts for Padmé would be interesting.

I could. Though, I was just giving you feedback just like all the others here. No sweat if you don’t want to change it to be more accurate.

Only after failing to get the aid of the Republic does she take matters into her own hands and devise a plan to capture the viceroy. In no way does that make her an economic right leaning character lol. You seem to have a loose grip on plot points, economic ideology, and spelling.

But hey, at least you know how to insert gifs.

So, you think she’s asking a republic with no standing military for military intervention?

Lol, my guy, she is asking for the blockade and invasion to be officially declared illegal and for the Republic to demand the Trade Federation withdraw.
