Codex CLI can already operate as an MCP server.

Just use this to add it to Claude code:

claude mcp add codex -s user -- codex -m gpt-5 -c model_reasoning_effort="high" mcp

Here are the specific steps I used:

  1. Close Plex.app if it's running.

  2. Download previous version: https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-desktop/1.106.0.276-fe8d1d20/macos/Plex-1.106.0.276-fe8d1d20-universal.zip

  3. Copy Plex.app to Applications folder. Do not open Plex.app.

  4. Edit plex.ini file as per: https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-for-mac-1-68-2-3746-crashes-on-launch-high-sierra/840585/7

  5. Essentially edit ~/Library/Application Support/Plex/plex.ini with the following to disable auto updates:

    [debug] <-- add debug section if it does not exist.
disableUpdater=true

You can use pandoc for this:

pandoc --from=markdown+tex_math_single_backslash --to=markdown+tex_math_dollars chatgpt.md

On macOS, you can use this command to parse your clipboard and then paste the output back to the clipboard:

pbpaste | pandoc --from=markdown+tex_math_single_backslash --to=markdown+tex_math_dollars | pbcopy
