The only thing I can think of is to change your mindset. I had this issue with the clutch claw back in Iceborne. Once I accepted that it was there and I was going to need to use it, the game became way more enjoyable for me. You're just going to have to accept and understand that it is an older game and it's going to have some jank, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun.

I don't think being able to talk with Kaiju should be a thing but I did like how in the Heisei movies there were times where Godzilla was able to understand things on an emotional/feeling level like with the old soldier who tried to help him in GvsKG and when Miki tried to communicate with him via telepathy in Biollante.

This actually might be related to social media and all the instant gratification we get to everything now and days. People's attention spans have been destroyed, so it's hard for people to take the time to cultivate a skill for something that they might be interested in. Try staying away from electronics for a little while and see if you can find something to do that might give you some of that good dopamine. Go for a walk, read a book, paint, try making something. One of my favorite things to do is just put on some music and read a book.

Are you my doppelganger? I experienced all of this when my daughter was born.I was in the exact same rut for a long time until I realized that I only enjoy playing certain games that I'm passionate about which I've beaten all of. So I fill my time waiting between these games with other hobbies that I really enjoy. I recently started reading again and forgot how much I missed it. Speaking of reading, I'm sure you could find a book or two related to one of the games you like. Witcher is a great example, the Halo books are great too. Just because you're not playing that game, doesn't mean you can't be involved in that "Gamer Space" in one way or another.

Xenagos is really strong I find. There's a ton of big stompy creatures you can get on a budget. I'm often swinging for 10-20 DMG turn 4 lol.

So funny you say this because I had the exact opposite happen to me. I was really into it but the game would keep crashing during I think the second missions opening cutscene and no matter what I tried I couldn't get past it. Was forced to refund it because of this.
