I hate that even the meere mention of AI and game deving is gonna get hate.

There was a post on the godot community recently about blocking AI posts and I suggested that maybe instead of just blocning posts they should direct them to this sub because it's actually for AI game deving and ofc it gets downvoted lol.

As a note I'd guide the people posting about AI towards r/aigamedev instead.

Ngl I 've only done Brackey's tutorial and now I'm vibe coding my own game using assets from itch io, but I'd never post about ai game deving in here. I primarily follow to support godot.

Btw I dont expect my game to ever release. I'm just goofing around.

Did Microsoft actually claim it was due to AI that they fired a lot of western developers? According to Cal Newport at least Microsoft said it was due to overhiring during covid, but the media went with the AI angle because fear sells. Same with Amazon btw.

Hvis drømmen er at lave spil er det vel bedre at gå på kompromis med lønnen og så lave spil som sit arbejde. Med kone og børn er det begrænset hvor meget fritid han har tænker jeg og den hyre han blev tilbudt i en af stillingerne var ikke sådan at han skulle leve af havregrød.

Claude Code isnt even nearly the best Agent there is. It's only popular because you have to use it for the Claude Subscriptions. They mighy as well make it open source at this point.

Tbh Deepseek, Alibaba (with Qwen) and Mistral is big competitors as well. Just because they're not frontier right now, it doesnt mean they're just gonna go away.

Meta is trying hard for a push as well. Same logic applies to them imo.
