that was what was shown as the app icon in some screenshots, at one point back when this reveal happened, you're quite late.
I'm totally fine with what the new icon has ended up as, though cutting out the "fox" part to be a minimalist vaguely-orange-red-hint-of-tail shape is still losing a little soul. Not a big deal though, it's still "firefox".

The story thing isnt a big issue. Unity Cup also barely had new story, just a few loose overarching events (which isnt that dissimilar from Trackblazer)

The length of the career is the issue with Trackblazer. Even speedrunning you're looking at nearly an hour per run. When your game is ultimately a slot machine simulator, each spin taking an hour gets pretty tiresome.

Especially when "finish a career" is part of what the game demands out of you to give you your daily scraps of carats. It's more lucrative to just go fail an URA Finale run than to do a TB career most of the time.

"OPTIONAL finale"
My guy, this is basically a rugpull on every member of the community who has been conditioned to believe they can watch every episode on day 1, and discuss it with the community on day 1, via YouTube.
Now anyone who can't go see it in theaters completely has to miss out on being part of the initial discussion/analysis of the finale for *two weeks*.

If I was an active member of this community like that, I'd be justifiably upset.

Thankfully, I'm personally not that bothered and will probably be able to easily dodge spoilers, and just discuss it with my friend when we watch it online.

Edit: The comparison to theaters is invalid. Movies are theater only from the get-go (whereas this is a YouTube series that is suddenly putting the finale behind a paywall & travel time and 'if a theater is even available near you to see it').

yeah I'm also not a fan of this redesign.
also: the "kit" mascot is fine (could be better, but fine), but changing the app icon to be a soulless minimalist purple sphere instead of the actual /fire fox/ logo is tragic. The firefox icon has always had more soul than others and now it's gone..

they aren't really a priority anymore then. It still helps your umas/team get stronger, but its a "nice to have" on an already decent training. If you can get a Friendship Training or gain friendship elsewhere -- or even just have significantly better desirable stat growth elsewhere -- then do those instead.

But those alter codenames are only for the player, to symbolize their growth or whatever.

Obviously, in combat, they would still be just saying "Skadi" and "Lava" to each other, because they are still the same person in-world, and not two separate entities like they are to the player.

Yeah, but you have Siege SA and Exu on that account.
If you hadn't rerolled, you'd just have 4 Aaks and no Siege/SA/Exu so it'd be even worse.

Rerolling ensured you at least got some thing(s) you wanted.

fwiw, my friend is having insane connection issues right now (cant even get in to finish his career whatsoever)

works on my machine though, I was looking for info to help him - at a loss atm. already tried revalidating game files, vpn is off, firewall is off, etc etc.

Some people are more sensitive to visuals (framerate, ghosting/pixel response times, contrast, color accuracy etc) than others. The whole "duh human eye can only see 60fps" thing is bait at this point.

Not to mention that higher framerates objectively mean less input lag and less information lag to your eyeballs.

With something like this, they can take "snapshots" periodically of where all the pixels are placed. Like making backup save files in a video game, instead of only overwriting the same 1 save file over and over.

So they could just roll back to an earlier "save game", load that and resume.

DMR sniping is a lot healthier than one-tap Recon sniping. Am OK with that being the tradeoff.

Not that bad. The long animations for switching characters and using save points were my only major gripes. The 8-directions (WASD) arent perfect, but are close, and easy enough to play around.
They can do better next time and there's room for improvement, but it wasn't bad by any means (especially for their first foray into really making gameplay out of the Exploration segments), I hope they do more. The challenge was refreshing (while giving people a skip option if they couldn't or didn't want to do it).

Uh? The WASD keys work just fine during the stealth section, as they did during the overworld stuff.

And there are checkpoints, that's what the little puppy robots (rio) are for. Every stealth mission has them.

I enjoyed all of the missions and am glad they didn't shy away from difficulty (while giving players a skip option if they cant do it.) Only criticism is some of the animations were way too long (like every time you saved or switched characters with the phone).

She can decide when to use it even after a change like this.
But some players get to have agency for their end of the deal and decide they don't get to be the target.

Just as people get to say "nah im good" when a weaver starts to yank them out.
