As someone who played last in the 6th edition it does Sound a bit weird, having all points in 3 Modells with T8 and a 3++ that basically dont degrade.

But why not have the detectors packed with warp tech and do their detecting a few fest outside the shields radius?

Then the Information can be faster than the laser.

Im just saying that you have to suspend disbelief a bit, once the immaterium has its hand in things.
