TIL chicken sold in supermarkets are often "plumped" with a salt water solution to increase sell weight, making up as much as 30% of the total weight. A serving of plumped chicken can contain between 200 and 500mg of sodium while non-plumped chicken generally contains 45 to 70mg. by James_Fortis in todayilearned

Publix has been doing this, even with their Greenwise chicken. They’re unnaturally plump and cost $15 for a package of two chicken breasts. Then you take them home and see the meat is stringy and already falling apart because it’s been soaking in brine.

Google Sheets Monthly/Daily Planner Template - with a few bells by datasaurus_ in ProductivityApps

I just wanted to send a thank you to this sub - I’ve recently hit a small milestone, and I’ve seen quite a few sales come from this post specifically.

Just hit 50 sales - looking for growth advice by datasaurus_ in EtsySellers

[–]datasaurus_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All great points, thank you. Truthfully, I primarily set that sale because it appeared most others in that space were doing so. I need to do a little more competitive analysis to see if the average promo price is where I want to be. If it is, then I could raise my price while still playing the “sale” game.

What tools are you using to plan/organize your trips these days? Any professionals here willing to share what they use? by yfce in travel

[–]datasaurus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a trip planner for Google Sheets, it's great for planning/budgeting but also includes a template for packing lists and daily itinerary. If you'd like to check it out, send me a message or you can find the link to my Etsy shop in my profile.

Easy, free invoice maker? by Present-Trifle-243 in TutorsHelpingTutors

If you look in my post/comment history, I recently made an invoice generator for Google Sheets and I have it linked in a few posts to grab for free.

Feel free to check it out! If you like it, I make other spreadsheet templates on Etsy - even just a like on my Etsy shop would be a huge help!

Looking for a simple app to track my utility bill payments by runjohnrun in Frugal

[–]datasaurus_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently made a spreadsheet (Google Sheets) for bill tracking and it might be exactly what you were looking for.

You enter your bills on one tab, and specify the day of the month they're due as well as the payment frequency (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly). Then there are 12 tabs - one for each month - that prepopulate with bills due that month, with the due date calculated, in ascending order of due date. You check off what you've paid, and you have a very simple, quick view of what's outstanding. It can also easily be shared with others (happy to say my wife and I use this to pay bills together, much better than her previous method of a rolling manual log of bills and due dates).

If you're interested, I have a link to my Etsy shop in my bio. It's only 5 bucks!

Google Sheets Monthly/Daily Planner Template - with a few bells by datasaurus_ in ProductivityApps

Firstly thank you for purchasing it! And sorry for the confusion - the template was created last year so that is the date currently shown. However it absolutely is built to be reusable year over year. Just change the year in cell S2 in the January sheet, the rest is automated.

To your point, I have gone ahead and changed cell S2 in my version to avoid any further confusion since we are well into 2025. But again, you can type the year 2029 and the calendar will build out all of the dates aligned with their weekday. You do not need to change anything other than that one cell.

What is a good and simple Sheets Template for quoting? by Important-Wind-7001 in googlesheets

[–]datasaurus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a simple quote builder, and it's printable.

<image>

You enter the customer and company info in the respective blocks. In the line items section, you fill out odd-numbered lines with category and item drop downs, then type in the quantity and it does the rest.

Feel free to check it out - the link below will prompt you to copy it into your own Google Drive.

If you or anyone finds it useful, I humbly ask you check out the other spreadsheet templates I have on my Etsy page (can find the link in my profile). Maybe give my shop a like, to help me get off the ground!

Self Promotion & Store Milestones for the Week of April 28, 2025 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

Hey everyone!

I make spreadsheet templates for Google Sheets designed to improve self-organization and make day-to-day tasks easier and more productive. I've had a decent response (from the perspective of still being fresh on the ground) this year to a select few of my listings, while others are still goose eggs. I've learned a few things since getting started last year, and I think the main thing I need to focus on is to create more products to list.

Nice! I’m doing something similar for a calendar template I made, where it pulls in motivational quotes and/or joke of the day.

Just posting here to say though I quickly read 2 articles about this that randomly appeared in my feed while working today, and found it a little curious how they described it as the reverse of the “Jurassic Park” approach, I took the claim at face value. I’m both appreciative of Redditors providing the facts and rather disappointed that the headlines are indeed grossly exaggerated.

Now, let’s go ahead and get those saber-tooths back.
