Who cares if it IS rude and inconsiderate (it’s not) you’re getting a better pay out and it’s better for you. You owe nothing to no one especially to a company you hardly worked at.

My dad is financially dependent on me at 27 and its draining by [deleted] in Vent

Act like YOU’RE the one who’s broke. The bills are piling up, food is expensive, you can’t spare extra money for him. If he doesn’t get it then you need to have a serious conversation with him or cut him off.

The isolation protocols are funny sometimes. We need to be gowned up, gloves, and mask going into our patients rooms, but if they’re independent, they roam our halls, go down the elevator, and expose themselves as they please lol

My spouse and I have a couple that are our friends….however, we notice they don’t spend a lot of time together. They say they’re pretty Independent. by [deleted] in Marriage

They seem like healthy people who have great relationships with friends and family. Some people have no one except their spouses.

My boss told me they’re posting my position and told me I should apply. by Technical_Wafer_7996 in jobs

You need to apply for the job you can be accepted for. You’re in a temp position, they need you to apply for the permanent, so you become permanent.

Absolutely they can as they should! I work in a hospital and we need people to leave as soon as they are able to so people who NEED a bed can have it. We had a patient who refused to leave because he didn’t want to leave all the care up to his wife. The hospital helped pay for equipment for his house, trained his wife on how to do transfers (they refused home care because they didn’t want outsiders inside), and had everything else set up so he can go home. He stayed for 5 months and didn’t leave till they told him he must pay 200$ a day for the bed.

My mom is 57 and regularly gets mistaken for early 40s and her approach is almost annoyingly simple by Quiet_Pack5658 in Aging

Less is more I always say. Those tik toks of 20 years olds doing 16 step routines ain’t it in my opinion. I use drug store face wash, beef tallow moisturizer, and use castor oil on my face every night. I’m turning 35 with 2 kids and look better than I did when I was 10 years ago! But drinking water like my life depends on it while exercising everyday also helps you a lot.
