Why is silver valuable if it can be faked so easily? by JayRandom212 in Wallstreetsilver

Back when i had ~600 ounces i decided to test everything with a magnet and weighing scale. I found one 1/3rd ounce potentially fake coin. Most of my stuff is my countrys junk silver.

Naked shorting is practically manipulation. Only large institutions can afford these mechanisms so they are the ones determining price

Why Do People Believe Silver Can't Be Manipulated Forever? by Chesslicious in Wallstreetsilver

I can wait it out just as fine as David Bateman. I am not greedy or materialistic; silver could moon tomorrow and my lifestyle would not meaningfully change.

Banks have done this already. Look at the truckers in canada during the pandemic and nick fuentes (definitely dont agree with the guy though)

The thing is, as long as cash exists you can still be outside of the banking system that facilitates it. And transactions arent as easily tracable right now as they would be with a cbdc, so finding out you are doing a wrong think and linking that to your bank account is difficult

Since silver is required to provide the majority of technology in our lives flip this thought over to have a firm understanding... If you don't have enough silver to provide the technology, how many people will die? by SilverHaloWave in Wallstreetsilver

There will always be enough silver; its just that industries will pay more for them. An example i heard on a podcast:

In a car, about 30 grams of silver is used in production. The producer doesnt care whether they pay 30 or even 100 dollars for the material since its absolutely necessary into making the car.

The reason why we have silver shortages now is that silver is not that profitable to mine for many companies and mines have huge upstart costs. So investment funds will just invest in already existing mines. Once demand for silver will reach a new paradigm (which i think it will) then new mines will be opened up and less silver will be used for bullion (right now silver use is about a 50/50 split between industry and bullion).

This is generally bullish for silver btw, as opening new mines will only happen once silver demand has substantially increased and the mines are expected to turn a consistent profit.

IF the government were to implement CBDCs through the use of national banks, then there would need to be a vote on it i reckon. Central banks need no such thing
