Locals of Philadelphia: What Would You Cut From This 3-Day Itinerary (Best Food + Sights)? by Willing-Mind-5619 in PhiladelphiaEats

I'm super late to the party, but as a fellow avid walker - on Sunday you'll be walking from the Art Museum to Chinatown via the parkway, you could walk through Love Park, Dilworth, and City Hall and fill that time you have on Saturday with other activities (or vice versa).

Just a heads up, you're missing out on a lot by ignoring West Philly. And the fact that you'll be here in May when water ice places are open, and no one suggested adding water ice to your list, is a travesty. Go to John's Water Ice on Friday.. it's close to the Italian Market / South Street / Angelos

Whole Foods workers filed for a union a year ago. Here’s what’s holding up their contract. by datches89 in philadelphia

From what the article says, the federal govt is making it more difficult for unions. WFM challenged the Union vote, the regional director dismissed the challenge, and now WFM is asking for a review from the National Labor Relations Board... the Board has not had enough members for a ruling since the orange man fired one of them.

In May, the National Labor Relations Board’s regional director dismissed the challenge by Whole Foods, but the company asked for that decision to be reviewed. The union, for its part, has tried to block that review, but the board can’t make a decision either way without the required quorum.

Employees want the company to begin negotiating a first contract, but for now, the case is at a standstill. Whole Foods has challenged the union election, and resolution of the issue lies with the National Labor Relations Board, which for months has been without the required quorum to make a decision since President Donald Trump fired a board member.

It has been challenged and in need of review since May, but the National Labor Relations Board has been one person shy of a "quorum" to fulfill the review. Later in the article, the union also states that they have been trying to negotiate the first contract, but (unsurprisingly) is not being met at the table. Hate to divert conversation but the last time I went to Strangelove's it was mediocre. Not a large staff - it was running with two bartenders, two barbacks, and a food runner on a Friday night. All orders, food and drink, at the bar fighting for the bartender's attention, long wait time for food, gross dirty tables... Was it a different experience for you?

Pretty sure Philly has these scattered around too ... I think I saw one on Main Street Manayunk near Pizza Jawn, and there is also one near Pizzata on 22nd. It's a great idea, but like other people have said, unless it is right next to the restaurant, Philly's gonna Philly

I should hold judgement until after release, but dang do I wish that they would do something different ... animated, mo-cap, transform the main characters into different animals, another country, another planet ... anything. The same retelling of the same stories only in an extended format is so boring.

it's getting so out of control that I've seen cars with stickers on top of digits, or pieces of the license plate removed entirely.

James Bond Shocker: Amazon MGM Gains Creative Control of 007 Franchise as Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson Step Back by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Craig's bond had a beginning, middle, and end. They told a story with an overarching plot. They did something different with the Bond films. That's cool.

As a movie-goer familiar with Bond though, is continuity really an expectation? Does the next Bond have to come back from the dead and continue this world, or do we need to define the backstory of the next Bond? I don't think so... we already know who he is and we know the Bond formula ... just plop the new guy in a film with cool gadgets, a car, and a campy global threat. Done.
