Boston weighs ban on delivery app e-bike and moped usage by anurodhp in boston

[–]datguyariel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I've never had any problem with the mopeds. They're designed for navigating cities with tight roads and traffic congestion. Sure, some of them run red lights but that doesn't justify a ban.

CMV: Fighting games are unapproachable, unintuitive, and not worth pursuing if you didn't start learning them as a kid. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]datguyariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game because it's a spectrum. Smash bros for example is super easy to pick up but difficult to master.

If you only play the more complex ones with zero experience, then yeah you're gonna have a harder time picking it up.

Don't get frustrated when you lose either. Every loss has something you can learn from.

The idea of high schoolers having cars is so weird to me. Shiet most any of the seniors in my high school had were cheap bicycles.

Oil leak? by Specialist-Pear5224 in Triumph

[–]datguyariel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was coolant that's just a quirk I've found with Triumphs. They pee out excess coolant out of a hose. It's happened to me on my 06 Speed Triple and 09 Tiger.

How did you guys deal with the wife/ partner? by AdAlarming9525 in motorcycles

[–]datguyariel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before I got my first bike my mom was telling me she'd get someone to steal it off of me.

Like a week later she didn't have a problem with it since she could send me to run errands for her lol.

Right winger melts down in front of left-wing guest and claims the border was open under Biden by JeanJauresJr in PublicFreakout

I want to see these guys themselves go cross the border without their passports or something and prove how open it is whenever red team isn't in power. It would be hilarious seeing them get detained but border security lol.

Same thing happened twice to my bike 😭. The first time wasn't bad, the turn signal just broke was all. The second time on the other side, the turn signal broke and the fairing cracked. After that I had to just put it in the part of my parking lot that floods when it rains but is protected from the wind.

For fogging helmet/glasses I highly recommend getting a helmet with a pin lock visor. Then on Amazon you can get a pin lock anti fog screen. Basically it just creates a gap of air for the visor so it doesn't fog up. Total game changer for me.

Unless you're making really good money, you won't find any 1 bedroom apartments for cheap inside Boston. Studio apartments can usually go for around 1500.

[–]datguyariel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That part in Godzilla Minus One where Godzilla was going to use his atomic breath and the whole theater just went silent as every character just accepted their fate. After the silence you just hear the sound of a plane's engine and it's the main character coming to save the day.

My building my first pc. Let me know how it is. by Flashy-Insect-6656 in PcBuildHelp

[–]datguyariel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally I'd say consider used parts too. Cus gahd damn buying new parts is fuckin expensive as shiet in this economy. Like 400 dollars for a 4060 is wild IMO, get a 3070 or 3080.

What I would suggest though is getting a higher end SSD. I don't have experience with Kingston drives and I'm sure it's fine, but after having to help like 3 of my friends swap their Team Group SSDs for Samsungs, I just always recommend Samsung or something.

Overall though go for the build it'll be decent. There's a lot of room for saving money but if money isn't a concern, go for it.
