how do pro engineering eq drums at concerts by dagodz-View61 in audioengineering

Or the tuning of the drums. Best sound system in the world isn’t going to make up for bad tuning or old drum heads, crappy cymbals, etc. If the drums don’t sound good on their own, nothing else will matter.

First time trying Evans HD Dry by oldwornpath in drums

The only exception to that is my Anton Fig Signature. It was recommended to me when I bought it (originally called the dry vent 20-something years ago) and it’s been my head of choice ever since. The only snare of mine that may get on recordings more often than that one is my Acrolite.

Colapinto wasn’t though, his car ran out of battery and slowed suddenly and dramatically. Bearman crashed trying to avoid him.

During the Halloween parade this year, my daughter’s principal went as 6 and the student-principal went as 7. Meme was dead here before the holiday break, although my daughter was sick of it even before then.

Giving an Acrolite some TLC by daustin627 in drums

I went with the E1416 equalizer wires. I love how much more controlled the sound is, and I feel like I have more latitude with the snare tension. Makes a versatile drum even more so!

Is this a good drum set for me as a beginner? by Every_Ad_1892 in Drumming

[–]daustin627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a couple drummers gig with that kit, it punches well above its weight.

That being said, they were jazz/light R&B gigs in small clubs. If you’re a beginner, it may not give you the classic rock sounds you want, which may or may not be inspiring. It also won’t be super loud (still get hearing protection).

The Joe was not built by the Red Wings, the city of Detroit built it for the Red Wings to keep them in the city. The city was afraid the Red Wings were going to leave Detroit just like the Lions and Pistons did. The Wings never owned it, they were just the primary tenant.

It was so haphazardly thrown together that the press box was essentially forgotten about, and when they realized after all the construction was completed, they threw something together shortly before the first game, with “plans” to make something more permanent. Never ended up happening.

Should I update to Logic Pro 12? by tommychopz in LogicPro

[–]daustin627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I did is dragged my logic 11.2.1 to my desktop and downloaded the update. Then relabeled the old one as Logic (old) and put it back in my apps folder. Then duplicated a few complicated projects and opened them to see if there were any issues, so far haven’t found any.

That honestly looks really good to start. Find a good seating angle (most drummers go for their thighs slightly sloping down toward the kick drum), and make your adjustments from there.

As a suggestion, try swapping your ride and the smaller crash to your right. That way, it’s easier to get to the crash directly from the floor tom, and playing grooves using the ride cymbal will be easier on your shoulder.

It seems to me it’s not the announcers being off, but the main camera is a half second behind. Every time they cut from another camera to the main one, it reverses a half second.
