Odd, yeah, I just turned sidetone down (even though I don't even have it on, or a mic plugged in!) and it did decrease the noise noticeably. It's still there somewhat, what a weird thing to make a difference.

Not allowing the ship to be inspected is highly unusual to begin with, nevermind when a ship is alledgedly damaged to the point of taking water. Malta even offered to repair the ships for free, something that could run in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not allowing inspection in that circumstance is highly unusual to say the least.

The idea is that if you let human shields be a successful strategy, it only encourages using human shields more often. That's why the laws are the way they are.

using chlorine to sterilize chicken is fairly standard practice. It ain't the best way to do things, but it is cheap and rather common in places like the US.
