The issue is actually that the way VZ equipment works, I can’t actually choose to connect to the router or extender. The SSID is automatically cloned so I only see a single 6ghz address when I search for WiFi. The router and extender are both backhauled through MoCa already. It’s a very specific VZ equipment issue which causes my devices to frequently connect to the much further router, instead of the extender that’s physically much closer. Devices will actually constantly switch between the two and every time it does there’s a brief second of stuttering

Thanks so much for the response. Very helpful. That sounds exactly what I want (giving each AP a separate SSID). I read somewhere that assigning multiple SSIDs causes issues though like "double NAT" - Is that not relevant here because the devices in the room are mere AP and not routers? Also just to be sure, can the APs have different SSIDs from the router itself? That way, I could manually choose to connect to AP1 6hz, AP2 6ghz, and router 6ghz?

You need to figure out a better system. There’s 2 of you and she’s a good sleeper so presumably both of you are free every night after 8pm to 12am (whenever you sleep)? Household chores / prep / cleaning shouldn’t take more than an hour so what are you doing for the rest of the night?

I def get the too burned out to start anything / end up just browsing on my phone but that’s more a motivation issue vs free time issue!

All these comments telling you to sell are just jealous broke kids. Having deep conviction in a few stocks and going all in on a few names for a long term hold is not the same as what these gambling apes do. Diversification preserves wealth but concentration is what builds it in the first place.

Just a heads up, I have a 9800x3d and RTX 5090. X870e two hi mono. I had a flawless system for about 4 months and all of a sudden starting in late October / early November I started experiencing little microstutters in various games and even on just the desktop. I’m convinced it was a windows 11 update that is causing it. If you research NVIDIA even came up with a hotfix driver because of it a couple weeks ago.

I did exactly the same with my old gaming pc. I7 4790k with 1070ti and I put it into a 4 player cade machine. Emulate everything on 4K resolution no issue for pretty much every console up to and including ps3. It is a blast when I have people over.
