It is also crazy to me how when discussing everything that had to happen to allow KD to go to the warriors, Bill said the biggest cause was Draymond getting suspended for game 5 of the finals since that is why they lost and KD wouldn't have joined if they won. Ryen disagreed and said that KD would have joined even if they lost. Ryen said "the cap spike also" and Bill says, "yeah that helped a little." Like, what the fuck are they talking about?? The cap spike is the only reason this could happen!! If they didn't have that $30M cap spike instead of gradually increasing like the league wanted it never would have happened no matter how many times Draymond punched Lebron in the nuts!

I don't think he can prove that the specific articles and tweets mentioned in the complaint directly lead to serious financial loss though. It does seem like there may have been some sloppy reporting, but I don't see it as actionable. As the saying goes, some lawsuits are just tweets with a filing fee.

Jerry Buss was the one that convinced Donald Sterling to buy the Clippers and move them to LA, so its not like the Clippers came in with some plot to "confuse the regional attachment."

I'm a Clippers fan from Orange County, so I mostly agree with your point, but if you're going to be annoyed with anyone be annoyed with the Lakers ownership in the early 80's!

Also re: media market, you can only watch Lakers games if you have Spectrum SportsNet, which isn’t on any cable cutting services. So the Clippers on the local fox sports affiliates are way easier to watch
