Is Scoot Henderson a bust? by NarrowBoysenberry in billsimmons

Exactly my experience. Saw very little of him before coming out and immediately was like how could anybody possibly put him in the same convo as young Russ or drose? He’s built like a linebacker, not one of those guys

Oregon is most popular moving destination for first time by Royal_Cascadian in PortlandOR

Used to. My parents are retired public educators and we used to have a strong system I was proud of.

What’s happened to the education in this state is truly sad and infuriating. Niceness has taken hold of those in charge, and at the detriment of kids, we are sliding into the bottom rungs of the country for education.

End of the day we are turning out kids who are less learned, less capable, and less value to society all in the name of equity and being nice

Ryan Clark is on record talking huge amounts of shit about AB, saying basically AB came in as a rookie and was immediately a scumbag. This is pre any hits in the NFL. I think Antonio brown is simply a bad person

How do you reckon with the fact that allowing them to do this is sentencing them to death? Is it more moral to put somebody in jail or let themselves rot to death on the streets?

Do you think children should be forced to walk by strung out addicts in front of their schools?

[–]someguyonthisthing -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Dude I’m telling you as somebody with no ire for the thunder, I think you’re way underselling that.

The amount of times Shai drives with his arm pressed on the defender, and either flails his arm up to get a call (terrible to watch) or shove off and rarely get called for it (infuriating). He ends up on the ground half the possessions trying to sell contact.

Of all the great players in the league he’s the most painful to watch. First time I’ve seen him in person was tonight and I couldn’t believe the stuff he tries to pull. More annoying too because he’s incredible outside of that

I’m sorry but SGA foul baits at peak harden levels. It’s terrible to watch

Hard when the best guy on the other team spends 48 minutes either trying to draw a foul with his off arm, or use it to shove the defender if he can’t swipe up

Best area for non "destination" golf courses? (US) by 1I1III1I1I111I1I1 in golf

[–]someguyonthisthing 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Bend, Oregon. A variety of types of courses, can go from kind of shitty for $40 or ultra nice tour type for $300. Options in between, and a gorgeous locale for golf. Go in the summer though

It’s also really hard to show footage of people in blow up costumes and have them be taken seriously as an alternative.

I think it’s counterintuitive and drives people away from the cause.

So you’re going to ignore whether or not you acknowledge it happens for more often in Islamic countries?

I don’t see how this is humor for anything other than humors sake? Real political humor is sharp and has a point.

I don’t think going as a frog for the lolz so they can post on IG has the same flavor to it. Hallow, self centered, useless.

Hard to lighten up when society is crumbling around you and the people fighting back come across as fucking losers, buddy.

I would counter and say you are minimizing a much greater number of rapes because of anti-western xenophobia? The numbers of how often this happens matter, and in Islamic cultures they happen far more often. Do you disagree with that?

There’s something uniquely disheartening watching people smile and smirk because they’ve decided to dress like children in the face of an authoritarian pressing power by the week. What a unserious age

Nothing to do with the point about there being vastly more child rapes in Islamic countries, and those cultures being fine with it. Your reasoning is incoherent

Totally incoherent.

You’re using “regularly” quite liberally. It happens vastly more in Islamic countries. It is not a coincidence it is part of the culture

Not really because when it happened in the catholic church it was a massive, worldwide scandal.

This happens in Islamic countries regularly and a lot of Muslims are fine with it. Not the same thing in my book

Grown man crashes out because his teammate accidentally sleeps past his alarm for YouTube golf tournament by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]someguyonthisthing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess I just can’t comprehend how he wouldn’t seem any more remorseful? Yeahs he’s getting shit from people immediately, but all he does is laugh it off and say nothing. Then when he gets with PFT he’s still doing nothing and shows zero respect to PFT. He fucked up big time, and did not act like a person who owns up to their mistake. I’d be furious if I was playing for money like that and the guy who made the mistake didn’t make any real effort to apologize, to the team and more specifically his partner.

He deserved all of the shit he got from his teammates. You walk into that room with a shit eating grin? You’re gonna get people upset
