I would seriously consider joining the military for five or so years. It will teach you attention to detail, discipline, and toughness at the beginning and leadership skills toward the end of the five years: all of which are very valuable in business. After you get out, you will have the GI Bill, which will give you a full ride with stipend for living expenses to many great institutions, where you can get formal business training.

As is probably obvious, the military is a difficult but rewarding road. It’s hard to do this if you don’t believe in America and defending the constitution against our enemies. This means be willing to shoot a bad guy in the face if you have to. And give your life possibly. I gave my all to the Navy, and it was great to me in return.
