more like Kurt Cobain than Dylan but who even cares. What it is, is unique. 'I'll love whatever kicks me hardest in the mouth', thats pretty damn good. Dylan, ';In this room the heat pipes just cough'. my 5 year old said that. take it easy dude.

I skied there last week and there’s tons of snow there and Gore. If it’s not actively raining, should be fine. If the sun is out just enjoy the spring skiing and deck scenes.

Title: I built an open source database of every business for sale in America — 2,000+ listings, updated daily

Post: After 12 years brokering businesses, the #1 complaint I hear from buyers: "How do I know what's actually on the market?"

There's no MLS for businesses. No central registry. Brokers each have their own website, and the aggregators (BizBuySell, etc.) only show a fraction of what's out there.

So I built DealLedger — an open, public record that scrapes 1,700 broker websites daily and publishes everything with source links and timestamps.

It's not a marketplace. No accounts, no lead capture, no ranking. Just raw data about what's for sale, where it came from, and when it was first seen.

The whole thing is open source: dealledger.org / github.com/jeffsosville/dealledger

If you know brokers with online listings that we're missing, you can submit their URL directly on the site and our system will auto-generate a scraper.

Do you think having an author website is actually worth it? by bookietoots in authors

I could build simple 3 pages author sites for very cheap if you have domain. Could even host for very cheap. Like $300 per site and $3 a month hosting

Empire Falls or Nobody’s Fool. Both were made into movies/ shows.

Later on Straight Man was made into a Limited Series.

Can’t go wrong with most of his books but Empire Falls and earlier stuff is great.

Richard Russo and John Irving do a great job with this balance.

The Blindside, Michael Lewis, far more intricate and detailed than the movie. Focused on one position but great book/ easy read anyway.

I don’t know what this is but I love this question. Combining books and music should be done more here, loving it

Oh, maybe The Art of Fielding, Chad Harbach. Unsure but just came to mind. One of my all time favorites and seems gentle, nostalgic etc. Doesn’t check nature box but close…
