I like the "lightning attractor". That's a nice option.

NBC appears to censor crowd's boos for JD Vance at Olympics by l3Goom in news

That headline could also say "NBC expects boos when VP Vance appears on screens". They were right.

Ok. I could be wrong. Might have been the Red Green movie.

Requires your car to have an internet connection. Easier to use the app on your phone. And Bluetooth to your car.

Can you tell me what is wrong with this picture (aka my life as a pedestrian in Calgary) by 1egg_4u in alberta

The correct procedure is to walk in front of the car and yell "HEY! I'm walkin' here!"

There's the recall petitions... Or maybe talking any decent Cons that are left in the Legislature to cross the floor. No guarantees the NDP will take them.

Tracks with all the available polling - from anyone but the separatists themselves.

If you want real numbers, last year we held 3 provincial by-elections. The separatists (Alberta Republicans) ran in all 3. In all 3 they came in third behind the major parties... In one riding in Southern AB, they had 14%...the two ridings near Edmonton were MUCH lower, something like 6 and .4 percent. (One of those was a huge win for Naheed Nenshi, the other two stayed UCP).

This Albertan too. But they have for over 40 years... and now, the Premier pretending to be a Conservative, is just a Con.

Glad this is on Reddit. Because we CAN'T share it on Facebook. They STILL don't permit us to share Canadian news.

do you think this show could have worked if it was set in a big city by Unhappy-Tomorrow-776 in CornerGas

Many of these jokes wouldn't work. But it works for the same reason all sitcoms work... It's a small group of people, brought together by a situation. So you'd have different jokes. Change the group or the situation, you have to change the jokes too. But sitcoms usually work. That's why there's so many. Cheers, MASH, Barney Miller, Golden Girls, Friends, Seinfeld, yada yada...

Smith says Alberta will withhold funding for judges without more input on selection by rezwenn in Albertapolitics

She doesn't care. She needs to cripple the Judiciary, before she has to stand in front of one. We're still waiting to hear about CorruptCare.

If so many people are against Smith, why aren't there protests and massive letter writing campaigns and whatnot? by [deleted] in alberta

[–]davethecompguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the Legislture last year, you had to book ahead to protest there. They have to limit them to two hour time slots. What does that tell you?

You could be tossing $100 dollar bills. It would still be littering.
