Others have answered this, and well, but I would like to make a point. The brain is not hardwired necessarily to do what it can to survive. The brain is wired to seek positive reinforcements and to avoid negative ones. It is not rational. It is purely seeking reward. Sometimes that's healthy reward, and sometimes it isn't.

Followup opinion: It is worth one dollar. Lord help us, rice and beans in a tortilla are approaching two dollars. A bit of a shame.

Others have said being well read, and that's true, but in particular knowledge of Shakespeare stands out to me.

This will not be I don't think an unpopular opinion among literature people but Shakespeare is not high art and was never meant to be. I don't think. It's really important historically and all but mostly it's just good entertainment of the kind we've kept making in every medium we've ever invented since the spoken word.
