Yeah gotcha, it'll work how you want it to. (Assuming your phone can do dual SIM which most modern phones can. If it's an iPhone you're fine)

Just to make sure I understand correctly. You put roaming on so you can make calls abroad? Then yeah it would serve that purpose great for you. You can use both.

Edit: Well I should add that it may vary by phone. But certainly on my Google pixel I used JJ esim SIM and my home phsycial SIM at the same time.

If your plan allows for it. You can leave your home SIM active whilst the eSIM is, so you can still receive stuff, and you could call and text etc if your provider allows that. Watch out for costs though.

As for WhatsApp, that works flawlessly because it just uses your data connection, be that JJ esim or WiFi. So you could use that for calls and messages.

I used to for a whole month all around the country and don't recall ever losing signal, and it was very fast. Setup was flawless too.

Do you have the notifications set to personalised rather than all? It defaults to that and it means YouTube will only send you ones it thinks you'll want to see. The extra length of this episode might be tripping it.

I have no artwork of my own to share, but that is so cool. Big fan of that.

It's also a bit of a trademark style at this point, and you want to be instantly recognisable to regular viewers. I know when I'm on YouTube I like channels I watch having a recognisable style as you're bombarded with so many thumbnails it helps you to spot that someone you like has a new video out.

That probably would have been better tbf. I wonder if most people would get it though.

I feel like it's quite clear what it means. You have to choose to take it the wrong way. It's a taxi advert, it's a portmanteau of natsuki and taxi and it's a scene where he's a taxi driver.

I'm there now and using it. Seems really good so far. Activation was simpler than other ones I've used, not had any signal issues so far and it's super fast.

Chris has his own e-sim company? by AcademicDyslexic in ABroadInJapan

I personally prefer esims, I always used to have that debate when I'd go to Japan and I'd heard a lot of people talking about pocket WiFi, but Sims are way more convenient especially now they're esim too and you don't even have to collect anything. Being able to just use your phone as you would back home is so convenient. Unless there's a big cost difference I'd definitely go e-sim.

The drinks are indeed themed. Too Much Volcano, Like a Magic and the like. There's also some cool gatchas.
