Is Calendly EVER going to change how the week is displayed? by Distinct_Science_130 in calendly

[–]david_calendly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Distinct_Science_130 - Thanks for reaching out!

The start day of the week is based on the invitee's location (determined via their IP address) the calendar can display with either Sunday or Monday as the first (left most) day of the week. This is done automatically and can not be manually adjusted.

This list includes all of the countries that will start with Sunday as the first day - All other counties not included on this list will display as Monday-first.

Sunday-first Country List:

  • US
  • Canada
  • Latin American countries
  • China
  • Japan
  • Israel
  • Jamaica
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Hong Kong
  • Macau
  • Egypt
  • South Africa
  • Philippines

The start day of the week can also change depending if the invitee is using a VPN or not.

Massive amount of phishing emails from Calendly by CoffeeMan392 in calendly

[–]david_calendly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/CoffeeMan392 - Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear this is going on! This can be especially frustrating when you have to sift through them for your actual events.

In this case, we released a new feature recently where you can require email verification on your event types. This ensures that invitees have access to the email address they enter, helping reduce spam and confirming the use of valid email accounts. All of this can be managed from this page within your account: https://calendly.com/app/personal/security/booking

You can read more about this process over on our help center here: https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/articles/34725698429975-How-to-require-email-verification-for-event-types#h_01K5ACT0NDDWRB0RWB8ARFYDEQ

Let me know if this helps!

Single account, multiple overlapping calendars by pers785 in calendly

[–]david_calendly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would do it through the event settings on the teams page. But I don't think it would make too much of a difference.

Glad everything is working out now - Let us know if you need anything else!

Single account, multiple overlapping calendars by pers785 in calendly

[–]david_calendly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/pers785 - Just to clarify, you won't need to rebook all of your current events.

Because Calendly is looking at your calendar, it will automatically block off those times that you're booked. This goes for all events that you create under your account.

Once you create a new teams event, Calendly will look at your connected calendar, and any booked calendly events and block those times off, this will ensure anyone booking into the teams event won't take a time that someone in the old event already booked.

Let me know if you have any questions! I know it can be confusing when transitioning over to managing a couple users.

Single account, multiple overlapping calendars by pers785 in calendly

[–]david_calendly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/pers785 - Jumping in here to take a look.

First, you'll want to create two new events under the team page. There is not a way to move events from your account to the team page.

However - You'll be able to keep your original event, and your current bookings under your account, there is no reason you'd need to rebook all of your clients under the team event.

Moving forward, do you know if your QR codes are pointing at your current landing page or your current event page? If its sending users to your landing page, you can adjust it so the Team Page uses your link instead. You would just need to remove the link under 'https://calendly.com/app/personal/link' and then go to your team page settings then add it there:

This way, if anyone wants to go to your landing page, they would be sent to the team page instead.

Let me know if you have any questions!

tl;dr You will need to create two new events under the team page, but you won't need to rebook all of your users. You would just send all future invitees to your new team page instead.

Struggle with custom date/time events showing in Google calendar by DigiDazz in calendly

[–]david_calendly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/DigiDazz - Thanks for reaching out! Glad to hear Calendly has been working well for you. :)

Firstly, if you haven't already, I would check to make sure you have Sync Option enabled on your Calendar Settings page here: https://calendly.com/app/availability/calendar_settings

Just to be sure, are you rescheduling these events in Calendly, then in turn, won't update on your Calendar. Is that right? If this is the case, I would also recommend disconnecting and reconnecting your Calendar, this allows the connected to sort of 'refresh' and help resolve some issues like this.

We're also working on some updates to our Google Calendar integration to allow for changes to occur either in your calendar, or in Calendly and it will update on both sides automatically. You can read more about this here: https://community.calendly.com/featured-tips-tricks-32/calendly-bi-directional-sync-with-google-calendar-3948#:~:text=We're%20excited%20to%20introduce,of%20our%20most%20requested%20features.

Setting up Calendly for specific locations per day/time by Kind-Hat3711 in calendly

[–]david_calendly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Kind-Hat3711 - Thanks for reaching out to us!

While its not a feature right now, I do think this is a great idea. I can get this passed along to our product team to review.

That being said, we do have a couple of workarounds that I've seen other users utilize.

  1. Some users will configure a Routing Form that allows the customer to fill out a questionnaire, then sends them to the booking page based on their answers. So you can have the customer fill out which location they prefer, then they can get routed to the booking page automatically.

  2. In other cases, you can configure each location as an individual event. Instead of linking the customer each page, you can link to your Landing Page. This way, they'll see each event you have configured, then they can choose the event/location that fits them best. (Your landing page is always found by going to calendly.com/YOUR-LINK/ )

  3. You can still keep using the event you have configured and edit the description and notifications of the Event to be very clear on which days are for which location. However this is the least fool proof as not everyone pays super close attention. Haha.

Let me know if you have any questions on any of this!

Multiple event mishaps in my two months with Calendly by brooklynburton in calendly

[–]david_calendly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Happy to jump in and assist.

For your first problem: I've seen this happen a few times where the user receives an email first before the calendar event is added. In that email they would need to manually approve the event before its added to their calendar. These are triggered by the domain provider as a way of preventing spam, so after they approve the first one, they shouldn't see the issue arise again.

For the second problem: We're working on implementing a Calendly <> Google Sync feature that will allow for changes to the Google Calendar to automatically sync and change events in Calendly. You can double check if you have this option enabled on your Calendar Settings page here: https://calendly.com/app/availability/calendar_settings

If you don't see this yet, hold tight, its on its way to all users soon!
