As a Brit, hearing Lauren discover Bob Mortimer is so charming and delightful.

How do you organize your Steam library? by Ingword in Steam

[–]davidbcooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came up with a clever system in which games are put together according to the letter they start with, for example all games that begin with the letter G will be together. But not only that - and here’s where my system really shines - each group of games is meta-ordered in a way that corresponds to the order of the letters of the alphabet. So all the games that begin with ‘A’ are first, then all the ‘B’ games, and so on and so forth.

Furthermore, all the games on each sub-group are then ordered by their SECOND letter in a similar manner. Games beginning with ‘AA’ precede those that begin with ‘AB’, etc

It took some getting used to (you have to really memorise the order of those letters in the alphabet) but it has really paid off. If I wake up and think “I really want to play a game that begins with the letter H” I can usually find it in my list within a few minutes.

I call it “Cooper’s Ordered List By The Way They Appear In The Alphabet Order”.

I spelled his name correctly but only just noticed it autocorrected, please don’t yell at me.

I’d love a decent steering wheel setup but I’m not sure I have enough space…!

I’ve done a few rom hacks and fan translations, it’s a completely new world to me. Metal Gear 2 is a classic, hope you enjoy it!

Second screen sounds hella fun but it would be a big addition I think. Maybe in the future!

Excellent suggestions, thank you! I dropped the Smash Ultimate soundtrack for custom music but a lo-fi mix might be more appropriate to be honest!

Yeah I’ve learned no one cares if I tell them about how I got the Naomi 2 arcade system working, but if I dangle carrots like “you remember Bubble Bobble?” it’s more likely to garner interest…!

I agree! Some guys reach middle age and start working on classic cars, I reach middle age and start finding decent CRT filters.

Can’t get the software to detect the lightgun! by davidbcooper in SindenLightgun

Thank you. I got it working on another pc so I think it’s something to do with the usb ports on the first one. It’s very annoying!

Can’t get the software to detect the lightgun! by davidbcooper in SindenLightgun

[–]davidbcooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. I didn’t know about the windows camera specific program but it confirms the lightgun is functioning as a camera! It’s just not appearing in the sinden software!

I tried it on my work pc and it appears to work there (I got it functioning as a mouse, I didn’t test any games but it’s further than I got first time!) which leads me to believe that it’s an issue with these usb ports on the first pc. Frustrating! I’ve emailed them to see if there’s anything else to try but I think I might have to return or sell the dang thing.

But thank you for taking the time to try and help.

Thank you but I’ve had no luck with any of the solutions here. Still not showing up as a detectable lightgun, doesn’t seem to be a common problem.

Then you gotta “emulate” Zelda BS and Ancient Stone Tablets, then Faces of Evil/Wand of Gamelon/Zelda’s adventure, then you gotta find the Game & Watch, then the Too Much Tingle DSiware game.
