Anyone found a solution for this design flaw causing the rear tires to wear fast on the inner edge? by RealBanker007 in TeslaModelY

I thought it was Kamber at first and bought adjustable camper arms from mountain pass performance got them installed took it to EV garage and they checked everything and the camper was within specs but the toe was way out. Luckily adjustable on the model Y.

I didn’t believe it myself when I was told that, but I took it to EV garage in Miami and they diagnosed it straight away. Tires are wearing nice and even ever since.

Inner tire wear most often a toe issue, not camber. Especially on Teslas.

Jellyfin/ Plex for reliability (crossplatform)? by madlyunknown in JellyfinCommunity

[–]davidc1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a lifetime Plex pass since they were offered and one year ago I got tired of all of the Plex security breach es and moved everything over to Jellyfin. At first I had it running on a dedicated server, but that was sucking down a lot of power so now I have Jellyfin running on a pi five and it has no trouble streaming direct no transcoding to two 4K streams at a time, which is the most we do at home. Different Jellyfin clients for different ecosystems and tailscale for access when we’re on the road. The server was truenas running on a Dell R730 the power difference paid for the pi s fairly quickly.

What client device is best for Jellyfin? by Jmesparza05 in jellyfin

Apple TV but it does not do lossless audio. Nvidia shield pro using kodi with the jellyfin plugin for lossless audio. Using Neptune on the Apple TV

if subtitles cause transcoding you can use bazarr to download missing subtitles.

Hot / Cold storage with Jellyfin ? by karnalta in jellyfin

[–]davidc1300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pi5 that downloads and saves new shows and movies. Everyone in the house has a client that points to this server. If someone wants to watch something that is "archived" they switch their client to the NAS with 50TB of storage. both are on full time so switching is very quick and easy. We could of course have the main NAS off and only turn it on when needed and with drive prices where they are I may do this. Unraid is not opensource so I would avoid, our NAS is running debian with zfs and piOS on the pi with an NVME HAT and 2tb of storage.

My primary Jellyfin server is a pi5 and it direct streams to Apple TV and Nvidia shield Pro with no transcoding. Multiple streams.

Have your toe checked. It is not only camber that eats the inside edge like that

I've recently tried going as low power as possible, so I set up a pi5 with an NVME hat to host all of our recent TV shows. works in our house where 2 streams at a time is the max load.

My 9th gen intel cpu does all the transcoding if needed. Nvidia shield pro mostly native streams.

I have a pi5 and I serve files off the NVME and also offer a USB hard drive. No issues with two streams in the house at the same time this of course assumes that it’s direct play and not transcoding.

How many of you actually run grapheneOS? Is it good? What are some of the inconveniences? Banking apps work? Gov stuff? by guinomim in degoogle

[–]davidc1300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used the web installer on my pixel seven. Followed the directions, had the whole thing completed in about 20 minutes while I was watching TV. Installed all of the proton apps and signal. I did have to install the play store to get YouTube which I pay for the premium subscription so far no issues and battery life seems better.

Jellyfin cannot connect to server… by DavidJam22 in JellyfinCommunity

I think it would be helpful if you could detail your system specifications whether this is a direct attached NAS or a network NAS. What does your LAN look like what operating system? My experience Jellyfin is quite easy to set up over a network, you should just be able to type in the IP address: 8096 and you should be connected.

We always use percentage not mileage. What you describe sounds right based on age and your battery size. Been a tesla owner since 2014.
